In this leadership role, you’ll oversee traffic studies, guide the development and implementation of traffic calming solutions, and collaborate with internal teams, agencies, and the community to improve roadway safety. You’ll also manage and mentor staff, ensure compliance with federal and state standards (including MUTCD), and help balance community needs with operational and fiscal priorities. As part of a team of dedicated professionals, you’ll help safeguard the community by performing detailed structural plan reviews for commercial building projects. In this role, you’ll review construction documents, specifications, and structural calculations to ensure compliance with the International Building Code (IBC) and other applicable laws and standards. You’ll collaborate with architects, engineers, developers, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve code compliance issues, explain technical requirements, and support safe and responsible development throughout the County.
