    This summer, we’re welcoming 130 interns to Macy’s across Corporate, Merchandising, Technology, Digital, Marketing, Store Management and Supply Chain Operations. After connecting with students across 54 campuses, our College Relations team kicked off the season this week with 60 interns at our Herald Square flagship corporate office. Day One included team introductions, peer connections, professional headshots and the start of a summer built around learning, growth and real career exploration. We asked a few interns where they’re attending school, how they found Macy’s, what they hope to gain through their internship experience this year.     On Friday, Macy’s rang the Closing Bell at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), marking 50 days until the 50th Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks®. This milestone moment celebrated the 50th anniversary of the nation’s largest Independence Day fireworks celebration, America’s 250th birthday and Celebrations Start at Macy’s, our yearlong platform designed to place Macy’s at the center of customers’ most meaningful moments. This year’s pyrotechnic celebration will expand across the Brooklyn Bridge, lower East River and lower Hudson River, creating a shared experience that connects more communities than ever.     Macy’s is proud to continue our partnership with the Fashion Institute of Technology through Mission Every One and our Future of Style Fund. For the fifth year, we served as the presenting sponsor of FIT’s Future of Fashion, where graduating BFA students brought their work to the runway. This year, we were thrilled to recognize another winner for the FIT x Macy's Capsule Collection Competition. Athmiha Saravanen was named the winner, and her Bar III look will be sold in a limited run at select Macy’s stores and on macys.com in Spring 2027. In this video, Athmiha and a few of the Macy’s mentors share more about the program, the design process and the value of creating space for emerging talent.

    Tony’s recognition as the No Kid Hungry Corporate Leader reflects a mission that extends across Macy’s, Inc., our vendor community and our colleague-powered Bag Hunger campaign.   We’re proud of the work our colleagues, partners and supporters continue to drive with Share Our Strength / No Kid Hungry, including a record-breaking $1.8 million raised at this year’s gala.

    Accepting the No Kid Hungry Corporate Leader honor at the New York No Kid Hungry Dinner is meaningful, made even more powerful by the collective impact behind it.   This moment reflects the shared effort of my colleagues, vendor and brand partners, Bag Hunger fundraisers, advocates and communities who continue to support No Kid Hungry’s mission to help end childhood hunger.   Through Macy's, Inc.’s long-standing partnership with No Kid Hungry, our colleague-powered Bag Hunger campaign and the support of our vendor community, we continue to help raise awareness and funds for children and families across the country.   I want to thank Billy Shore and Debbie Shore for inspiring us with such enthusiasm and dedication. And also a special thank you to Danny Meyer for his generous and kind introduction and ongoing commitment to Share Our Strength / No Kid Hungry.
