  • We’re proud to see LA Tourism represented in the Summer 2026 issue of California Leaders, which recognizes influential leaders helping shape California’s future on the world stage. Adam Burke was featured as one of the publication’s cover leaders alongside Anna Marie Presutti, President & CEO of San Francisco Travel Association, and joined a fireside chat at the issue launch at BMO Stadium focused on California’s future as a global destination, including the opportunities ahead for tourism, major events and economic growth. Themed "California on the World Stage," the issue brings together leaders across tourism, business, sports, innovation and economic development as California enters a defining decade of global events and opportunities. A meaningful recognition of Adam’s leadership and the work happening across LA Tourism to position Los Angeles for what’s ahead. Complimentary digital access to this issue is made possible by BMO: https://lnkd.in/gBViNsqa #LATourism

  • Summer is nearly over, but in Los Angeles, the adventure doesn’t have to end when the season does. With more than 300 days of sunshine each year, families can enjoy outdoor experiences, neighborhood discoveries, and memorable moments together year-round.    That’s why we asked LA Tourism’s Senior Director of Corporate Communications and mom of two, Meryl Press Vissel, to share a few of her family’s favorite places to explore with little ones in every season. 🚂 Take a ride through Descanso Gardens, where seasonal blooms, winding paths, and the miniature Descanso Railroad create a relaxing escape for the whole family. 🎠 Spend the day at The Grove and Original Farmers Market, where kids can enjoy the iconic trolley ride while families explore dozens of food vendors offering something for every taste. 🦁 Explore the Los Angeles Zoo & Botanical Gardens, where families can visit favorite animals, enjoy the World of Birds Show, play in the shaded playground, and end the day with a ride on the carousel. 🚆 Make a Sunday adventure out of Griffith Park, starting at Travel Town Museum before heading to Los Angeles Live Steamers Railroad Museum for a memorable train-filled outing. ☕ Grab a coffee and pastry at The Trails before exploring Fern Dell and the surrounding trails, playgrounds, and open spaces throughout Griffith Park. 🐠 Discover marine life at the Aquarium of the Pacific, where colorful exhibits and interactive experiences offer an engaging outing for visitors of all ages. • It was a true joy to host the Midwest LA Update this month in Chicago and Minneapolis, bringing together 125+ industry professionals and partners and endless memories for an exciting look at what's ahead for Los Angeles. Los Angeles is entering a new era for meetings and events, with a destination story that is evolving as quickly as the city itself. New cultural institutions are opening their doors, the Los Angeles Convention Center is completing it's transformational expansion, major world events and conferences are choosing LA for the years ahead, and the city is demonstrating that it's ready for the next generation of global gatherings. A heartfelt thank you to our incredible partners for helping make this event such a success: Sheraton Universal Hotel, The Biltmore Los Angeles, Los Angeles Dodgers 365, City of Los Angeles Tourism Department, Delta Air Lines, JW Marriott Los Angeles L.A. LIVE, Moxy + AC Hotel Downtown Los Angeles, Ritz-Carlton Los Angeles, and the Los Angeles Convention Center. We appreciate your partnership and support in helping us share the story of Los Angeles with the Midwest market. On the heels of this success, we look forward to bringing the same great energy from this Midwest LA Update session to the Mid-Atlantic (Dec 1-3), Northern California (Dec 13-16), and the Northeast in Spring 2027. #LosAngelesTourism #MeetLA #LAMidwestUpdate #DestinationMarketing #DTLA #Chicago #Minneapolis

  • The American Black Film Festival (ABFF) has announced that its 31st edition will take place in Los Angeles, May 20-23, 2027. Founded in 1997, ABFF has become one of the entertainment industry's most respected festivals, creating opportunities for Black storytellers and helping launch careers across film and television. Over nearly three decades, it has earned a reputation as a powerful platform for emerging talent and storytelling that broadens representation on screen. Bringing ABFF to Los Angeles places this influential gathering at the center of the global entertainment industry, further strengthening the city's role as a destination where creativity, culture and business intersect. As Los Angeles continues to build momentum as the world's entertainment capital, we're excited to see ABFF join the city's robust calendar of industry events and contribute to the continued growth of the region's creative economy. • With a little under two months to go, the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art is preparing to welcome visitors to Exposition Park, further strengthening Los Angeles’ position as a global cultural destination.     Founded by George Lucas and Mellody Hobson, the museum is dedicated to narrative arts across mediums, featuring illustrations, paintings, photography, sculpture, digital art, and film. With its smooth curves and almost spaceship-like silhouette, the building stands out as a striking visual landmark alongside neighboring attractions including the California Science Center and the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County.     Beyond its architecture and collection, the Lucas Museum offers visitors another way to experience Los Angeles through storytelling, imagination, and shared cultural connection. As travelers continue seeking experiences that feel immersive and memorable, the museum is poised to become a must-visit destination for both first-time visitors and longtime Angelenos alike.    #LATourism

We wrote an open letter to everyone who made Los Angeles part of their World Cup journey. It's our way of saying thank you for the energy, joy, and sense of connection you brought to our city. As we look ahead to an incredible decade of global events, we hope this is just the beginning. Read the full letter below.
