"How are grids changing? Isn't it still just... wires?" I was asked this a few times at CERAWeek. Here are just a few examples of what's really happening: ▶️ As the UK prepares for over 6 GW of data centre deployments on the grid by 2030, we're investing in Emerald AI software that can adjust the power usage of data centres, flexing their demand to support the whole system. ▶️ In New York, we’re using technology to safely move more electricity through existing power lines, helping deliver power faster while limiting the need for new infrastructure. ▶️ In Massachusetts, we’re combining AI with advanced satellite data to identify risks like vegetation damage earlier, reducing outages and improving reliability for families and businesses. The world has changed. We're not just delivering energy for today, we're rebuilding the grid for the future. That’s why we’ve announced nearly $100bn of capital investment through to 2031 - one of the largest infrastructure programmes across the UK and Northeast US. Thanks to [the legendary] Daniel Yergin for a great discussion on the future of power. #CERAWeek 🎥 S&P Global CERAWeek

  • To navigate today's challenges, utilities don't just need more data - they need actionable intelligence translated into insights that improve Reliability and resilience, Optimize asset utilization, and Inform smarter capital allocation. In a new blog, we share how we're helping utilities meet these challenges and unlock "ROI" benefits with a revamped set of scalable, flexible, utility-grade solutions. Our industry-leading, physics-based Dynamic Line Ratings are now deliverable at network-level scale, and our new, camera-enabled Situational Awareness solution brings real-time, continuous monitoring to critical transmission lines. Brought together in our NexusIQ platform, we're delivering critical insights into the critical infrastructure backbone of our increasingly AI-powered economy.  If you’re attending DistribuTECH, let’s continue the conversation at Booth 5509! https://lnkd.in/eh8ZzKxK

  • Utilities are facing unprecedented challenges—aging infrastructure, surging demand, and the need to integrate many different sources of generation—all while maintaining reliability and affordability at a time when both are under pressure. The scale of these challenges demands intelligence that can match it. At DistribuTECH 2026, LineVision is announcing a transformation of our solutions to help utilities meet these challenges head-on. We're introducing our network-scale Dynamic Line Rating solution, built on our industry-leading, physics-based approach to enable delivery of the most accurate, system-level capacity intelligence across entire transmission networks. We're also launching a new, camera-enabled sensor, enhancing the accuracy of our DLR solution and powering real-time situational awareness where it matters most. These capabilities come together in NexusIQ—LineVision's unified grid intelligence platform. For the first time, Dynamic Line Ratings and Situational Awareness will live in a single view, giving grid operators and planners the system-wide visibility needed to unlock the full ROI of network intelligence: Improved Reliability & Resilience Optimized Asset Utilization Informed Investment Decisions At-scale solutions for at-scale challenges. Let's go! If you're attending DistribuTECH, come see us at Booth 5509. #DistribuTECH2026 #GridIntelligence #DynamicLineRating #EnergyInfrastructure

Utilities have invested for years in resilience programs, from vegetation management and pole replacement to under grounding and storm hardening. Now, utilities are evaluating the next evolution for resilience - shifting from implementing asset-specific programs to creating an enterprise-wide risk framework that meaningfully reduces risk to the utility and its customers. Robert B. GM at Neara, will join Joey Alexander, Executive Director - Strategic Accounts, LineVision and Abigail Phillips, VP of FirstEnergy at the Power Resilience Forum on January 22 to explore how this evolution is playing out in practice. Join us for their panel “From Programs to Risk: Redefining Utility Resilience” on January 22, 2026 📍 Register: https://lnkd.in/dB2dANGy

As utilities face unprecedented pressure to expand capacity while managing costs, grid enhancing technologies like dynamic line ratings are empowering operators with the flexibility needed to meet demand where and when it’s needed most while facilitating a safer, more reliable grid. At the same time, the network intelligence our solutions deliver helps better direct the capital investments in our transmission system that are needed to strengthen the critical backbone of our increasingly AI-powered economy.  LineVision CEO Vishal Kapadia joins Julia Selker of Grid Strategies LLC on the Grid Forward Forum Podcast to explore case studies where DLR is saving utilities millions of dollars, identifying necessary infrastructure upgrades, and providing increased capacity.
