Last week, I had the opportunity to travel to Lightcast headquarters in Moscow, Idaho for our first annual Revenue Kickoff and it exceeded every expectation. After nearly two years of collaborating with colleagues across email, Slack, and Zoom, it was incredibly meaningful to finally meet in person and strengthen those relationships. Spending three days together diving deep into Lightcast’s mission and the impact of our global labor market data made me even more energized about the work we’re doing. A huge thank you to our ELT and everyone who made this event possible. Hearing how far we’ve come and what’s ahead was both inspiring and exciting. I’m especially honored to have been recognized by my organization for making an impact. Seeing bid management acknowledged in this way means a lot, and I’m truly grateful to be part of such a driven and supportive company. This experience reaffirmed that joining Lightcast was the right decision, and I’m more motivated than ever for what’s next. Looking forward to what we continue to build together.

  • Our collaboration with Financial Times on reporting of #AI trends continues... Here we look at the divergence of salaries (note: we've previously reported a 28% pay premium for AI skills)... and there's an important nuance. That bump usually is given to more senior roles. Further supporting the idea that AI skills are really people / managerial skills. 8 of out 10 of them, at least. Read the full article in the FT: https://lnkd.in/g_NA9cfU

  • AI isn’t the only force reshaping the labour market right now—and treating it as such is a mistake. Yes, AI is changing how work gets done. But at the same time: • Populations are ageing • Talent shortages are intensifying • Geopolitical shifts are redrawing supply chains If we focus only on AI, we risk missing the bigger picture—and making the wrong decisions as a result. • What if the problem with entry-level jobs isn’t talent—but how we define “ready”? At this year’s ASU+GSV ASU+GSV Summit, our Raymond Sass will be moderating a panel that challenges that assumption: From Crisis to Capability: Reinventing Entry-Level Work 🗓 April 15 | 10:10–10:50 AM 📍 Coronado D, Level 4 This session brings together leaders who are rethinking how early-career talent develops—turning real work into the primary engine for learning, embedding skill-building into day-to-day roles, and creating stronger pathways into the workforce. If you’re attending ASU+GSV, we’d love to see you there. Get more details here: https://lnkd.in/gecNiQFq

  • Work is, generally speaking, serious business. But if we learned anything from nine seasons of The Office, it’s that there’s plenty of humor to be found in it as well. And what better day to hunt for the humor than April 1st? Take skills for example. At Lightcast, we’re serious about skills. But let’s be real: Sometimes skills can sound downright silly — especially when they relate to an industry or technology you’re not familiar with (yet!). https://lnkd.in/gTnVDJAQ

Last week, Lightcast hosted our RKO event in Idaho, bringing together teammates from across the U.S. and around the world. After a long flight from Toronto, it was worth every minute to see everyone in person! It was such a great reminder that our team is even more human and inspiring in person 😄 Their energy, creativity, and dedication really shine when we get to collaborate face-to-face. A huge thank you to our leaders and everyone who made this event possible. To our clients, you’re in great hands with this talented and dedicated team!
