One of our Connectors, Sarah Clein, ran into Andrea Azarcon Heller, Generative AI Program Manager at a federal civilian agency and former Contracting Officer, at the GovCIO Media & Research AI Summit and gained some valuable insight on what contractors should really know about communicating with federal teams. Check out the guide below to learn more! #FARoverhaul #GovCon #Procurement
Sometimes the most valuable learning happens when you’re in the right room and luck is on your side. Or in my case, an expert in federal procurement happens to sit next to you. I ended up next to Andrea Azarcon Heller, Generative AI Program Manager at a federal civilian agency and former Contracting Officer, at the GovCIO Media & Research AI Summit. What started as small talk turned into an interesting conversation about federal procurement and where the relationship between government and industry is heading. After a few chats between panels, it was clear there was a lot more to learn from her years of experience. We set a time to meet again to dig deeper. What she shared provided a clear picture of what contractors should know to improve their communication with federal teams. Check out the guide below! #FARoverhaul #FedTech #GovCon #LeadershipConnect #Procurement

Leadership Connect, in partnership with Splunk and Amazon Web Services (AWS), recently hosted the March 19 webinar, Data, AI, and Digital Resilience: Building Secure, Intelligent Systems for a Complex World. As agencies move deeper into 2026, the challenge is not adopting AI. It is making it work in real environments where data is fragmented, systems are hybrid, and security expectations are high. The conversation focused on what it actually takes to build systems that are both intelligent and resilient. Panelists explored the realities behind the headlines, from improving everyday workflows with AI to managing data quality, strengthening governance, and addressing emerging risks like shadow AI. A consistent theme was that progress depends less on new tools alone and more on getting the fundamentals right. The takeaway: AI delivers real value when it is grounded in strong data practices, clear access controls, and a workforce that understands how to use it responsibly. 📝 Read the key takeaways: https://hubs.la/Q047Xybs0 📺 Register to watch the full webinar on-demand: https://hubs.la/Q047XwjG0 Thank you to our speakers: • Jennifer Franks, Director, Information Technology and Cybersecurity, U.S. Government Accountability Office • Elizabeth Schweinsberg, Senior Technical Advisor, Zero Trust, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services • Dr. Jon Gines, CISSP, Staff Enterprise Solutions Architect, Splunk #LeadershipConnect #ArtificialIntelligence #Cybersecurity #FederalIT #GovTech #DataStrategy #DigitalResilience #ZeroTrust
