On Saturday, Launchpad was honored to be invited to join Office of Innovation & Technology - City of Philadelphia for it's first-of-its-kind Power Up Philly Community Tech Expo! Philadelphia and Cherelle Parker showed the nation what real digital equity looks like. The office donated 1,600 laptops and offered classes and vendors for the community to work with after they received their device. We ran a hands-on PC teardown workshop in the Kids Zone, giving attendees a behind-the-scenes look at the hardware that powers our everyday lives. We also tabled throughout the day to spread the word about Launchpad and connect with future program participants. Thank you to Madison Lee for inviting us to be a part of this historic event! And thank you to our volunteers: Kevin Tellez-Torres Jamir Ong Nasirah Solomon Kameren Smalls Aiden Wray Kimberlie Pierre Jeshua Oei Melva Taslim Jennica Xu Celine E. Angel Ambrocio Gutierrez

We are still glowing from our debut workshop, Anyone Can Code, at #Diversitech2026. Thank you to everyone who joined our facilitator, Franceska Rouzard, and our associates Syriana Gil and Nakerra Lewis and tried something new in this fun, hands-on experience. The room was so packed, folks had to sit on the floor. After, many attendees expressed being inspired to learn to code rather than intimidated. Mission accomplished! We can not wait for next year!

Attended Diversitech 2026 and had an impactful experience engaging with professionals, creators, and innovators across the tech space. The event provided valuable insight into emerging technologies, career pathways, and the importance of diverse perspectives in shaping the future of the industry. I appreciated the opportunity to connect with others who are passionate about building and creating meaningful solutions. Looking forward to applying what I’ve learned and continuing to grow within the tech community. #DiversiTech2026 #ProfessionalGrowth #Technology #Networking #Innovation

Last week Launchpad was invited to attend the Hopeworks HOPE Summit in Camden, NJ! Students, associates, and grads had the opportunity to attend workshops, network, get headshots, and conduct mock interviews! Launchpad 101 student Maximilian Georges shared "From the moment I arrived, the environment was welcoming and full of energy. I was introduced to several workshops that encouraged learning, curiosity, and collaboration." We can't wait to come back next year! Thank you to Hopeworks, Gianna Cettei and Angel Serrano, CFRE for welcoming us and ensuring our participants felt part of the family. You probably saw plenty of coverage if you're connected with our Launchpad 101 students on LinkedIn! If not, they're tagged in these photos and would love to connect with you!
