With the OpenAI cap table leak, we decided to make it a bit easier to meaningfully understand the existing investor structure of the organization. The biggest winner by raw gain is Microsoft. Their unrealized gain is equivalent to nearly ~8% of their entire market cap. After the recent close of a $122B round, all eyes will be on OpenAI to see how they deploy this capital (compute) and whether their ROIC meets expectations in the coming months and years.

A 4.59 magnitude earthquake hit San Jose, CA at 1:41 AM this morning. We pulled the top 2,000 strongest earthquakes in California and Nevada history to see where it ranks. It came in at #1733 on the list. That means almost 1,800 recorded earthquakes in the region have been stronger than the one that woke up half the Bay Area last night. The state averages about 10,000 earthquakes a year, though most are too small to feel. The map below shows every quake in the top 2,000 by location and magnitude. You can clearly see the markings of the San Andreas fault just from the chart. The data came from USGS public earthquake records. The question, the map, and the ranking took about 90 seconds in Julius. What data would you explore if you could just ask any question and get an answer?

Michigan and Purdue lead the way in shot performance so far this March. Some teams advanced through 2 rounds because they consistently created good shots. Others advanced because they shot above what their shot profile would normally support (looking at you, Kentucky). Typically we think the ability to generate good shots will matter more in the long-term and shotmaking over expectation is subject to more variance.
