Extreme weather isn't just changing landscapes. It's changing consumer behavior. In our latest Ipsos Cultural & ESG Intelligence research, consumers told us that the biggest impact of extreme weather isn't always property damage or power outages. For many we spoke to, it's the growing financial strain from higher food prices, energy costs, insurance premiums, and other unexpected expenses. As these households absorb weather-related costs, they're making real trade-offs across categories. The implications for brands are significant: extreme weather is influencing purchasing decisions, perceptions of value, and expectations of businesses in ways that are often overlooked. Swipe through for a snapshot of what we're seeing across the U.S. Interested in learning more about the research and what it means for your business? Connect with Janelle A. James, Dana Lowe, Lisa Gudding, or your Ipsos Client Officer. 🎥 For a broader global perspective, visit https://lnkd.in/e3Vk84xD to watch our new video featuring four Ipsos experts discussing the impact of extreme weather around the world, including insights from the U.S. #ConsumerInsights #ConsumerBehavior #ExtremeWeather #ClimateRisk #Sustainability #MarketResearch #BrandStrategy

Can education still unlock opportunity? The answer depends increasingly on where in the world you ask. The Ipsos Education Monitor 2026 reveals a growing divide in how people view the future of young people. While optimism remains strong in many emerging economies, confidence is much weaker across several mature Western countries. Across 31 countries: 🎓 University remains the preferred route into the workplace, yet only 57% believe degrees offer good value for money. 🌍 62% think young people in their country would find better opportunities by moving abroad. 📱 73% support banning social media for children under 14, but only 39% believe AI should be banned in schools. 🧠 Mental health remains the most commonly cited challenge facing young people globally, while concerns about the economy and housing are becoming more prominent. Explore how attitudes towards education, technology and opportunity are changing around the world in the Ipsos Education Monitor 2026.
