Climate change is reshaping the Great Lakes in ways that challenge how we manage water, shorelines, infrastructure, and ecosystems. In the latest issue of Lakes Letter, 2026 IAGLR Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Gail Krantzberg explores why policies based on historical conditions are no longer enough in a future marked by extreme water levels, shoreline erosion, flooding, reduced ice cover, and changing groundwater dynamics. The article highlights practical strategies for building climate resilience, including climate-informed planning, integrated water management, nature-based solutions, and equitable investment in monitoring and adaptation. As climate risks continue to evolve, so must the policies and governance approaches that guide Great Lakes water management. Read the full issue here: https://bit.ly/ll-sp26 #LakesLetter
