  • ✈️ Travel companies have spent years competing on price. That playbook is changing. Fintech — specifically Cancel for Any Reason and Disruption Assistance — now accounts for 45% of HTS' total profit. 👉 Here's why: travelers have fundamentally shifted what they're optimizing for. Travelers now rank ticket refundability as a top value and prioritize flexibility to change plans. During peak travel disruption periods, attach rates for HTS' flexibility offerings spike — purchases of Disruption Assistance up over 60% following major disruption events, such as the conflict in Venezuela earlier this year and the government shutdown last fall. For travel providers, this isn't just an ancillary add-on anymore. It's a scalable revenue layer with an 84% repeat purchase rate and 85% increase in category revenue for partners who integrate it. Flexibility has become a product — and the economics are proving it. Read our full breakdown of how travel fintech is reshaping the industry 👇 https://lnkd.in/ezenxmhY

  • Travel distribution is shifting and fast. Banks, loyalty programs and consumer brands are building owned travel ecosystems, embedding booking directly into the platforms customers already trust. Why it matters: rising acquisition costs and the growing importance of first-party data are making traditional channels less effective. In response, companies are combining travel, loyalty, payments and rewards into one seamless experience. The impact? Higher conversion, stronger retention and greater lifetime value. Bottom line: Travel is evolving from a standalone transaction into a powerful driver of customer acquisition and long-term engagement. 🏦 Read more on why banks and banks are building owned travel ecosystems: https://lnkd.in/eWcQWgjp
