  • Genesis has only been a standalone luxury brand for 10 years, but it's already taking a serious swing at the top of the market with the new electric GV90 flagship. We were on hand for a panel with President & CEO José Muñoz, Chief Creative Officer Luc Donckerwolke, and other Genesis leaders as they looked back at the brand's rapid evolution and offered a glimpse at what's ahead. The GV90 may be our first look at that next chapter. Read more: https://lnkd.in/g4vZW2Y7

  • JCB took a hydrogen combustion engine, said "double it," and then proceeded to break a land speed record at 406.32 mph at the Bonneville Salt Flats this month. It's obviously not your typical car, but the technology behind this wild machine could point toward another alternative to gasoline and electric power. Naturally, we had to be there to see it for ourselves.

  • One of the best parts of writing about cars is the people you get to meet along the way. Our video host, Gabrielle R. Schmauderer, recently got to grab a photo with legendary designer Gordon Murray during Monterey Car Week, and we're pretty sure this is one of those moments that makes the job feel a little less like a job.

BEYOND excited to share that I’ve officially accepted a full time roll with HotCars as Host and Senior Video Producer. Being a part of the Valnet for the past year has been an honor, and I couldn’t be more excited to be stepping into this roll with such a great team. A big shoutout to Seyth Miersma - you’re an amazing colleague and friend, and I’m grateful to have you to look to with my constant questions and constant chaos.

  • We got a very rare (some might call it exclusive) look at the production version of the sure-to-be epic Audi Nuvolari supercar. HotCars, with sister sites TopSpeed and CarBuzz, was first in line to see AUDI AG’s incredible R8 successor up close. Brett Evans was on site to take it all in, from the hybridized 987-hp powertrain to some incredible materials and examples of craftsmanship throughout the car. We didn’t drive it, but getting this kind of access to the production car was pretty special. Click through for our exclusive article and video on HotCars: https://lnkd.in/gQixhtQz

  • We just spent a week behind the wheel of the seriously quick Cadillac Lyriq-V, and it’s safe to say this performance EV delivers. The quickest Cadillac ever rockets from 0-60 mph in just 3.3 seconds, while offering surprisingly composed ride quality and sharp handling for a crossover tipping the scales at over 6,000 pounds. DC fast charging is respectable too, with charging sessions peaking at around 120 kW. Starting in the mid-$80,000 range, the Lyriq-V blends luxury, performance, and everyday usability into one seriously compelling package. Would you take one over a Tesla Model X or BMW iX M70?
