For the 16th consecutive year, HarperCollins employees volunteered with Operation Backpack, packing 345 backpacks with school supplies and writing encouraging notes for the first day of school. We also donated 9,000 books to fill backpacks. #OperationBackpackNYC serves the roughly 15,000 children living in homeless and domestic violence shelters across New York City. We're grateful for the chance to give back to our community and help students start the school year with confidence and the tools to succeed.
