The system is failing our children. We're rebuilding the pediatric behavioral health system from the ground up. At Handspring, our mission is a world where children's mental health is cared for as much as their physical health. We've built a modern virtual mental health clinic for children and families, combining a digital platform and telehealth to deliver the right care at the right time. Beyond psychotherapy, our services include evidence-based content, psychiatry, and medication management.

I am pleased to share that Handspring Health has acquired Joon Care We started Handspring with one overarching goal: to create the most clinically rigorous and digitally engaging platform for youth and family mental healthcare in the country. From the beginning, we focused on three core components: 1. Pair an employed, expertly trained clinical workforce with technology and digital tools to deliver evidence based care at scale. 2. Expand acuity to support mild, moderate, and high acuity clinical needs. 3. Grow partnerships with commercial insurers and government entities to make care more affordable for families. Over the last four years, our team has made steady progress toward this vision. Acquiring Joon moves us forward even faster. 🚀 Exciting news! We created Handspring Health to reimagine mental health care for the next generation. Today, we’re proud to share that we’ve raised $12M in Series A funding led by Cobalt Ventures to redefine how young people and families access and experience mental health care. Handspring delivers a uniquely structured care model designed for the full spectrum of youth mental health needs, from foundational skills-based interventions to higher-acuity support. Our model combines different evidence-based approaches to deliver a first-of-its-kind Complex Care program for youth who are often turned away from outpatient settings and often unnecessarily funneled into emergency departments and intensive programs. To deliver this level of care, Handspring’s care team is supported through our in-house training and consultation program, grounded in leading clinical practices. This focus on quality, consistency, and accountability drives meaningful outcomes at scale. Two leading health plans joined the round, drawn by our strong clinical outcomes and scalable care model. Our approach is delivering measurable impact: ✅ 96% of families report improvement in daily life at discharge ✅84% improvement in anxiety, 79% in depression, based on validated clinical scales ✅Net Promoter Score of 82, reflecting deep trust and satisfaction The rest of the round was completed by a strong group of mission-aligned investors, including NextView Ventures, nvp capital, 25madison, Arkitekt Ventures, VamosVentures, HPA, and Cornucopian Capital.
