This means closely evaluating our results – and setting new goals to go even further. While we can be proud of our progress, Global Recycling Day reminds us how urgent it is to make the circular economy a reality for the cosmetics industry. So here’s our ambition for the next 4 years: ensuring 30% recycled plastic in our packaging, offering 100% recyclable packaging for all our skin care & make-up products, and reaching 1/4 of our sales with refillable products. Inside Clarins Pontoise with the European Commissioner for environment Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming Jessika Roswall, European Commissioner for environment, water resilience, and a competitive circular economy, to our Clarins industrial site in Pontoise, alongside FEBEA, Cosmetics Europe - The Personal Care Association and Félix Meysen, Deputy Secretary General of the Val d’Oise Prefecture. The visit was a privileged opportunity to exchange on European regulations shaping the cosmetics sector, as well as the challenges and opportunities ahead – from sustainable packaging and urban wastewater standards to the latest advances in sustainable ingredients and formulation science. It also gave us the chance to open the doors of our production facilities and R&D laboratories, highlighting how scientific innovation, operational rigor, and environmental commitment come to life in our daily work. We are proud to contribute to this dialogue and represent the French cosmetics industry as we work collectively toward a more sustainable future for beauty.
