For Schulman Theatres, choosing a technology partner wasn’t just about features. It was about trusting that partner to make the entire operation work better. That’s what stood out about GoTab: our willingness to integrate with the tools Schulman already uses to run its business to create a more connected operation with fewer manual workflows, less duplicate entry, and fewer reconciliation headaches. As VP of Operations Jacob Schulman put it: “That sealed the deal.” See how this 100-year-old brand is building for its next 100. Link in comments.

  • GoTab is headed to Spokane for the Rocky Mountain Theatre Convention, September 1–3. Visit us at Booth #30 to see how GoTab helps theatres connect ticketing, dining, concessions, mobile ordering and payments — giving guests more ways to order while reducing lines and keeping operations moving. We’ll also be showcasing our recently announced integration with Ready Theatre Systems LLC RTS, bringing ticketing and F&B together in one connected experience. If you’re attending RMTC, we’d love to connect. Learn more at https://lnkd.in/eP7Xr-Xv Luke Coan, Mateen Habib

  • A vendor billing error went unnoticed for more than a year. Chef Curtis Dettman found it in opsi, and the vendor paid back roughly $5,000 — about a full year of what the platform costs. That's the theme of this issue: the costs that never show up as one alarming number. A processing margin that creeps up. An invoice that changed on line four. A schedule built on guesswork instead of demand. Also inside: new integrations with Shopify and Tanda/Workforce.com, a reminder about our indefinite rate lock, and where to find us at the Virginia Brewers Conference with Craft Beer Professionals next month.

  • Two guys nursing a hangover at the bar. A ten-top celebrating a 9-year-old's birthday. Same restaurant, same morning. Completely different energy. Zach Sipherd (Atomic Provisions) says his staff gives both tables the exact same level of care. Not the same experience. The same care. The skill in between is reading the guest in front of you instead of running one script on everyone. Full conversation with Zach is in the comments. #HospitalityTech #GuestExperience #RestaurantOperations

  • There’s something special about seeing a new GoTab location come to life. Our Account Executive Rebecca Salvador-Maxfield recently traded the sales conversation for an on-site install, working alongside our dedicated onboarding team at one of her North Dallas customers to get their GoTab system connected and ready for opening day. For Rebecca, it was also a reminder of why she’s spent 25 years in hospitality: helping operators spend less time wrestling with operational challenges and more time leading their teams and taking care of guests. We love seeing our team roll up their sleeves and be part of the journey from the first conversation to opening day. Thanks to Rebecca and the entire team! 🥂 #GoTab #Hospitality #RestaurantTechnology #PointOfSale

Today was an amazing day in my career for two reasons: 1) I accomplished something I never have before. I helped install an entire GoTab system for one of my clients alongside their team. While I’ve been in the point of sale world for quite a while, this was my first time experiencing the thrill of connecting a network on-site, getting all the pieces in place, and watching everything communicate and work together. It was pretty cool! 2) I was reminded of the core reason I’ve stayed in hospitality for 25 years. I genuinely love serving my community, both locally and globally. Being able to support my clients so they can spend less time dealing with operational challenges and more time leading their teams and creating great experiences for their guests is incredibly rewarding. I’m looking forward to celebrating opening day with my local North Dallas clients very soon! 🥂 #Hospitality #PointOfSale #GoTab #DFW

  • A new name. A bigger stage. The same belief that great hospitality technology should work better together. GoTab is excited to sponsor Tripleseat Ignite on August 25 at Encore Boston Harbor! As the only POS that integrates directly with Tripleseat, GoTab helps event teams move deposits into the POS, apply them to the final bill and close out events without rekeying information or relying on manual workarounds. Ignite brings together hospitality sales, catering and event professionals for a full day of ideas, connections and inspiration—including keynotes from Danny Meyer and Sarah Dandashy. Want to join us? GoTab has a partner code that provides 25% off registration. • Scaling a chef-driven concept without losing what makes it special is one of the hardest problems chefs tackle. Curtis Dettman, Director of Operations for Pau Hana and Lake & Irving in the Twin Cities has solved it with opsi. Curtis centralized 300+ recipes so they're accessible (and translatable for his Spanish-speaking staff) from any phone, and caught a $5,000 vendor overcharge that had been accumulating for over a year. "I'm very much a systems person, everything was on a clipboard on my wall. Now, the wall is on the phone that everyone has," says Curtis. Read the full case study: https://lnkd.in/eiw47tFT Then join Curtis and GoTab's James Passafaro live TODAY at 12pm ET for "How Chef-Driven Restaurants Scale Without Losing Their Culture."
