We make and sell active eyewear for anyone.

About us

At goodr, we’re recklessly committed to fun…blah, blah, blah, sunglasses. Guided by our four Fs, Fun, Fashionable, Functional, and ‘Ffordable, we create and sell Active Eyewear for Anyone. Whoever you are, however you move, whenever joy finds you, goodrs move with you. Founded in 2015 as a running brand, we have since evolved into an active eyewear brand, designing classic, fashion, and performance sunglasses, winter goggles, prescription shades, cases, and the occasional absurd accessory when the moment calls for it. Our products are available on goodr.com, The goodr Cabana on Abbot Kinney in Los Angeles, and at leading national retailers including REI, Fleet Feet, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Public Lands, Scheels, and Target. At our core, we exist to give you permission to be unabashedly yourself…unless you’re an asshole. We believe accessibility creates connection, and connection gives people the freedom to show up as they are. Featured in Runner’s World, Outside, Men’s Health, Women’s Health, Bicycling, and GQ, our products prove you don’t have to choose between function and fun.

What happens when you give a creative employee a blank canvas, a community of collaborators, and the keys to goodr HQ after hours? You get Step Into The Blank. Founded by our very own Senior Content Director, Barret Bowman, and powered by a crew of goodr Flamingos past and present, it’s a highly interactive, slightly unorthodox showcase experience at goodr’s second office, The Cove. Described as ‘Mad Libs meets live performance’, Step Into the Blank has become a community hub where filmmakers, musicians, and live performers can make cool stuff, test new work, and share it with a highly engaged audience who can help shape the next show on the spot. When Barret pitched this project to leadership, the answer wasn't just "yes"—it was, "How can we support?" With space, production assistance, and a whole lot of Flamingo creativity behind it, Step Into The Blank has become a place for our team to experiment in a fun, zero-pressure environment that challenges the status quo. Now, with the fourth show coming up this August, Step Into the Blank is ready to grow beyond the goodr flock. If you are a creator, musician, filmmaker, or just someone in the greater Los Angeles area looking for a raw, real-world creative community, your seat is waiting. Check out the website at the link below to attend, perform, or get involved: https://lnkd.in/gMGnq7Ka

    • Three people smile and pose together in front of a white step-and-repeat backdrop covered in a repeating black "STEP INTO THE BLANK" logo. The person on the left wears a black short-sleeved button-down shirt and black wide-leg trousers, tilting their head playfully toward the center. The person in the middle wears a black textured t-shirt, tan joggers, a black baseball cap, and clear orange-framed glasses, holding their hands together in a prayer pose. The person on the right wears a black t-shirt, a black satin-style skirt, and knee-high black boots, grinning while lifting one leg back in a stylized pose.
    • A dark screening room layout showing a seated audience watching a large projection screen from behind. The bright screen displays a stylized, vibrant digital painting of a white car driving down a road at twilight under a deep blue sky with thick white clouds and bright yellow streetlights. The surrounding room is mostly pitch black, revealing only the silhouettes of the viewers' heads and the industrial tracking lights along the ceiling.
    • A live multimedia performance captured from behind a seated audience in a dark venue. A performer stands silhouetted behind a production table with a laptop, mixing console, and studio monitors. They are framed by two bright, glowing white LED light bars arranged in an open "V" shape. Behind them, a massive projection screen illuminates the room with a brilliant, saturated close-up image of a yellow and orange flower in full bloom.
    • A wide shot of a dimly lit, industrial-style indoor event space with high ceilings, exposed wooden rafter beams, and concrete floors. Scattered groups of people are standing and mingling throughout the room. The space is atmospheric, lit by soft overhead tracking lights and specialized studio softbox lighting equipment. A large glass wall partition on the right reflects the ambient crowd, while a dark wall on the left features a minimalist white goodr logo line drawing.

🚨 SQUAWK ALERT! 🚨 Please join us in giving a massive, feather-ruffling welcome to our newest onboarding group, Team Root Beer!!! We are beyond stoked to have this incredibly talented flock join the party. At goodr, we don’t do boring. No stiff suits, no beige cubicles, and absolutely NO mind-numbing training videos. Instead, our newbies get the ultimate "goodrified" welcome: a bubbly pink carpet entrance, a trip to the goodr Cabana, a Welcome Happy Hour at our in-office tiki bar, and a front-row seat to the beautiful madness that is Tuesdays with Carl (TWC). We work hard, we play hard, and we aren’t afraid to get a little weird with it. Team Root Beer, you look fabulous in flamingo pink. Let’s rock this! 🦩🕶️ 🎉

    • A vibrant "Welcome New Hires!!!" announcement graphic set against a bright yellow background that transitions into a teal wavy section at the bottom featuring a white goodr logo. The graphic showcases four new employees, each pictured inside a teal-bordered circle, wearing distinct styles of goodr sunglasses and smiling in black tops.

From left to right, the new hires and their roles are:

Gabe Zimmer (Design Manager): A man adjusting a pair of bright yellow sunglasses with orange reflective lenses.

Charisma Wangatau (Controller): A woman with brown locs leaning her chin on her hand and posing playfully in red sunglasses with blue reflective lenses.

Ariana Rassouli (Retail Brand Ambassador): A smiling woman with long brown hair wearing cream-colored, thick-rimmed rectangular sunglasses.

Jezebel Melara (Retail Brand Ambassador): A smiling woman with wavy dark hair wearing red oval-framed sunglasses.

Our CEO and fearless leader Stephen Lease headed back to school…but this time it wasn’t for finals. On May 15, SDL returned to Metropolitan State University of Denver, his alma mater, to deliver the keynote commencement address to the Class of 2026. After some early entrepreneurial setbacks, SDL built goodr into one of the world’s leading athletic eyewear brands by being unafraid to do things differently. Today, we’re known for blending fun, fashion, function, and ‘ffordability into every pair of goodrs, proving that performance gear doesn’t have to take itself too seriously. Over the past decade, Lease has led the goodr flock with a focus not just on growth, but on building a culture rooted in creativity, professionalism, and the courage to move forward without all the answers. He shared this same ethos with MSU Denver graduates. “Stephen Lease embodies the Roadrunner spirit and our values. His perseverance and resilience took him from our College of Business to his own boardroom – exemplifying his creative and innovative nature,” said Ethan Waples, Ph.D., dean of the College of Business at MSU Denver. “From goodr's culture to their marketing and products - his approach to doing business and life sets a bold example for all MSU Denver graduates for how to overcome any obstacle and lead the way into the future." But the celebration didn’t stop at the podium. In June, goodr will launch a pair of sunglasses created especially for MSU Denver students, alumni, and fans. Aptly named Get Rowdy, these sunnies pay homage to the university’s beloved mascot, Rowdy the Roadrunner. The design features MSU Denver’s signature blue and red color palette and is showcased on goodr’s marquee OG frame with the signature no-slip, no-bounce grip, assuring students their sunnies won’t slip or bounce whether they’re sprinting to class or celebrating graduation day. Get Rowdy sunnies will be available as part of goodr’s Collegiate Collection through the Fan Zone on goodr.com, through select local retailers, as well as on the MSU Denver campus through the university bookstore. Because whether you’re crossing the stage, chasing your next big idea, or just trying not to be late to class, looking good should always be part of the plan.

We had a BLAST at our first Squawk Talk of 2026, welcoming elite track star Alia Armstrong to the Lagoon!!! Alia is a six-time All-American and NCAA hurdles champion currently training to qualify for the LA 2028 Olympics. And she's not just fast...she's FAST fast...like her goal is to "become the first woman in history to run the 100-meter hurdles in under 12 seconds" FAST. Whether she's lifting heavy, working through sprints, or taking time to recover (and dance!!!), Alia believes that comparison is the thief of joy, so she's fully committed to authenticity and staying true to herself as the Rhinestone Queen. Keep sparkling, Alia!!!
