Had the opportunity to moderate at Convergence Forum last week alongside the brilliant Hrant Gharibyan, PhD of BlueQubit and Bruce Church of Aitia, discussing what happens to AI when quantum computing enters the picture. What I keep coming back to is how much classical hardware has restricted the questions we even bother asking in the first place. We've built entire industries around its limitations without realizing it, which makes it easy to overlook the entirely new capabilities quantum has already unlocked, like molecular simulations that are changing how we approach drug target discovery. The AI comparison is hard to ignore because neither of these are technologies you adopt incrementally. Both are rewriting the assumptions that everything else is built on.
