Heat risk isn’t just about temperature. The Global Wet Bulb Globe Temperature Baseline provides a 30 year (1994–2023) monthly record of minimum, maximum, and mean heat stress metrics derived from ERA5 reanalysis data. By integrating temperature, humidity, wind speed, sun angle, and cloud cover, wet bulb globe temperature offers a more comprehensive indicator of heat stress. This dataset supports human health and safety efforts by helping identify extreme heat risks, optimize outdoor work schedules, and monitor nighttime cooling trends that are critical for vulnerable populations.
