🚀 DOSS Founder, Wiley Jones, has raised over $70M from top VCs like General Catalyst, Theory Ventures, and more, building one of the few truly AI native enterprise applications in the world...let's just say my mind was blown. 🚨 Link to full episode: https://lnkd.in/g3kUkxJC My biggest question for Wiley: what did you do differently than every other AI startup? Wiley’s insight: There are a lot of companies that say they’re AI native, but they’re really just AI enabled. We recognized that the next generation of enterprise software will be able to understand deeply the context in which they exist and upgrade themselves toward objectives. That’s the new evolutionary lifecycle unlocked in a Gen 4 architecture. Almost no one is building this way. He also shared why he wishes they’d waited longer before going from idea to first dollar: “We loaded ourselves up with customers before we were ready, which forced us to make decisions that slowed us down. If you’re building something truly new, sometimes you need to bet on your convictions and take the pain up front.” Shoutout to Kayla Guglielmo for the introduction! Check out DOSS — they’re building adaptive operations software that helps companies manage procurement, inventory, orders, and the flow of goods, dollars, and data, with a composable data model that evolves as your business does.

New Podcast Episode: Scaling the Brand: Ops, Systems, and Simplicity with Mezcla and DOSS 🚀 Most brands assume scaling means adding complexity. Mezcla proves the opposite. Daniel Scharff sat down with Yoga A. (Mezcla) and Sebastiaan Debrouwere (Doss) to unpack how one of the breakout brands in the Startup CPG community has grown 2–3x annually — while staying intentionally lean. 🚀 The product-led growth model behind Mezcla's rise — and why showing the actual bar on front-of-pack became a competitive advantage 🚀 The "land and expand" playbook that took them from 3 Whole Foods regions to full national distribution 🚀 Why one Midwest 3PL beat two warehouses — and what that means for emerging brands 🚀 How a fully turnkey co-manufacturer gives full cost visibility without the operational overhead 🚀 The Google Sheets → Airtable → Doss journey, and what you actually gain at each step 🚀 What Doss sees across fast-growing brands: operational success isn't about complexity — it's how well you manage against it The best advice Yoga ever got: simplicity scales. He took it seriously. Listen here: https://lnkd.in/ejuegFhy #StartupCPG #CPGPodcast #Mezcla #Doss #CPGOperations #EmergingBrands #NaturalFood #SupplyChain #CPGFounders #CPGCommunity

Brand loyalty has a price tag, and it's lower than you think. A 10% price hike is all it takes for the median American shopper to walk away from a brand they once loved. We surveyed 1,010 U.S. adults to understand how 2026 inflation is reshaping consumer behavior: → 60% have already dropped a previously loyal brand because of price increases → 70% say they're less brand loyal than a year ago → 53% who switched moved to a generic version → 69% now believe store brands match name brands on quality The retail landscape is shifting fast: • Discount grocers (Aldi, Lidl): +30 points in shopper share • Dollar stores: +20 points • Traditional supermarkets: -28 points And the categories getting hit hardest? Groceries (76% of switchers), personal care (41%), and household goods (39%). The takeaway for brands: the "loyalty premium" you thought you had is thinner than your margins. Once a shopper trades down and discovers the generic works just as well, winning them back gets exponentially harder. The full research breaks down the data by generation, income, and category, including the inflation pain points hitting consumers hardest in 2026. Link to the full report in the comments.

Getting your first retail PO is a milestone. Fulfilling it without blowing your margins or your retailer relationship is a different challenge entirely, and most brands don't find out how hard it is until they're already in it. That's exactly why DOSS is hosting this fireside chat with Yan L. Sim, Founder and CEO of Operating Crew. We're covering both sides of the equation: the digital infrastructure that keeps your operations from falling apart when retail volume hits, and the physical execution that keeps your product compliant and on shelf. The Retail Entry Playbook: Navigating the Operational Fundamentals June 23rd at 10AM PT / 1PM ET Whether you're actively in retail, working toward it, or just starting to explore what it would take, we'd love to have you there!
