  • That’s a wrap on Colorado Climate Week! The CSU Climate Hub at Spur was delighted to partner with Colorado Cleantech for the opening two days, featuring events that brought Colorado's vibrant climate community to CSU Spur. In addition, the Climate Hub organized a series of innovative events, from the There is No Planet B dance performance to a discussion with some of our nation's leading experts in climate intervention. We also hosted a networking happy hour, and a very special book talk with the always-inspiring Auden Schendler. What a week of genuine insight and inspiration! We are left energized by the work happening here in Colorado and around the world to meet the climate challenge head-on. To stay up-to-date on the Climate Hub's future events here at CSU Spur, sign up for updates on the CSU Climate Hub at Spur Hub website or follow on LinkedIn. When it comes to cultivating connections, CSU Spur is the place to be 🤝 Last week, the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities (APLU) Board on Health and Human Sciences held its annual spring meeting at Spur, which included a reception hosted by CSU President Amy Parsons and Interim Provost and Executive Vice President Lise Youngblade, who chairs BHHS. Spur and the College of Health and Human Sciences — modern extensions of the land-grant mission of access and success — are exactly where these conversations should happen. CSU is a leader in this space, and these programs excel at translating research into practice to improve the health and well-being of people and the communities in which they live. Thank you to the Board for joining us in Denver and to everyone who made this event so special!

It’s always an honor to host the Denver Business Journal for their annual Leaders in Agriculture event, recognizing Coloradans pushing the ag industry forward! A huge congratulations to Kim Stackhouse-Lawson, Director of AgNext and a Professor of Animal Science at Colorado State University, for being named the 2026 Trailblazer Winner. Founded in 2020, AgNext at Colorado State University was launched to find solutions to feed 12.3 billion people by 2100 by innovating sustainable solutions in animal agriculture — so needless to say this recognition is incredibly deserved ☺️ Also among the honorees was Wes Allison, CEO of our campus partner at the National Western Stock Show. Congratulations to Kim, Wes, and all of the honorees at this year's event 🎉
