Today we are very excited to be launching a one-of-a-kind, multidisciplinary center at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, led by Stella Kang, MD, MS. The Center for Advanced Diagnostic Research (CADRe), is designed to advance diagnostics to the clinic—both the innovation of new diagnostics and the translation of emerging tools—by leveraging the many new forms of diagnostic data that we now have at our disposal. With the recent explosion of diagnostic capabilities, including #AI tools, new #MRI sequences, #radiopharmaceuticals, and #theranostics, it is imperative to integrate data, evaluate tools in different settings, and move diagnostics more quickly from research to the clinic. With her center, Dr. Kang will bring together expertise from across Columbia to improve patient outcomes through the development and translation of next-generation diagnostics. Today's exciting event invites experts from across the patient care spectrum, from both industry and academia, including Katrina Armstrong, MD, Despina Kontos, PhD; Andrew Lassman, MD; Moustafa Gabr, PhD; Muredach Reilly, MD; Catherine Estrampes, Bethany Percha, and more.
