And while the film delivers thrilling moments, strong performances, and some breathtaking landscapes, it struggles to settle on exactly what kind of story it wants to be. Green Day has “always wanted to do a Green Day movie.��� 🎸 For Nimrods, Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt, and Tré Cool dug into those chaotic years on the road, turning stories from the band’s past, including the very real tale of Gravy the puppet disappearing from their van, into a fictional coming-of-age story about three young punks chasing their dream.
