Join us in celebrating the incredible opportunities and innovations created by community colleges this month, Colorado!
April is Community College Month: Together, Opportunity Moves! As we kick off Community College Month, we celebrate the essential role community colleges play in expanding opportunity and strengthening our communities. Governor Jared Polis has proclaimed April 2026 as Community College Month in Colorado, affirming our commitment to economic mobility. “Across Colorado, community colleges represent the first and best path for learners to achieve a more prosperous future. They are engines of economic mobility—opening doors, strengthening communities, and preparing Coloradans for what’s next.” – Dr. Landon Mascareñaz, Chair, SBCCOE With over 130,000 learners advancing their education and careers each year, we witness the transformative power of community colleges firsthand. At CCCS, we believe that when we move together, opportunity moves further. This April, we launch our Together, Opportunity Moves campaign to celebrate the collective effort that makes progress possible. Join us in recognizing the momentum happening across our colleges and communities. Because when we move together, opportunity moves!
