This is what progress looks like. The Highway 119 bikeway, now under construction between Boulder and Longmont, represents years of coalition-building, government partnership, and sustained community advocacy. C4C helped make this happen. Working alongside Boulder County, CDOT, and the state, we pushed for the separated path you’re starting to see take shape right now. If you’ve driven this corridor recently, you’ve seen the construction. That’s what investment in safer roads actually looks like. North Foothills could be next, but it takes the same kind of sustained support to get there. → https://lnkd.in/gdMbxeaq

Boulder County’s cycling community has a lot of unwritten rules. Wave at other riders. Call out road hazards. Hold the door at the coffee shop when someone’s got a helmet in each hand. And once a year: show up to the Crank It Forward Gala. This is the event where the people who ride Boulder County’s roads, paths, and trails get together to celebrate what they’ve helped build — and raise the funds to keep building it. Featured speaker Alexey Vermeulen. Live auction. Hosted bar. Heavy appetizers. The St. Julien Hotel. Friday, May 15th. If you’ve ever ridden a bike in Boulder County, you’re already part of this story. Come be in the room where the next chapter gets written. → Tickets from $85. You took the path on Sunday. Maybe you didn’t think much of it. Just a ride. Just a good morning. That path didn’t build itself. It took years of advocacy, partnership, and a community that showed up. You’re already part of the story. C4C is making sure there are more paths like it. → coalition4cyclists.org

You rode to work this morning. Maybe it was the creek path. Maybe it was on the path from Superior. Maybe it was just a quiet side street you’ve made your own. You didn’t need a membership card. You didn’t need to sign anything. You’re already part of the story. C4C is working to make sure your ride stays safe, connected, and yours. → coalition4cyclists.org

Ever driven or biked Highway 36 toward Lyons between Boulder and Neva Road? Then you know it needs work. And work takes money, partnerships, and people who show up. Coalition 4 Cyclists (C4C) recently contributed $57,400 toward the North Foothills Safety for All Project, joining @Boulder County ($3M+), CDOT ($1M), the Governor's Office ($1M), and the City of Boulder ($100K) to create the separated bikeways and safer intersections our community needs. Our contribution might look small next to those numbers. But it's powerful. It shows federal grant reviewers that real people in Boulder County believe this work matters, it strengthens the entire application, and it can turn into tens of millions of dollars in grants. And we're just getting started. Highway 119 is already being transformed. North Foothills could be next. But projects like these need sustained community support to keep moving forward. Want to be part of what we're building? This Giving Tuesday your support (whether $25 or $2,500) helps C4C show up as a credible partner at the table when infrastructure decisions are made.
