One of the best networking conversation starters: “What are you most excited about this coming year?” It sounds really simple, but it works. I’ve found it moves conversations beyond small talk and allows people to talk about the goals and projects they’re genuinely thrilled about - personally and professionally. I was recently featured in a CEW Spotlight, and this was one of the tips I shared, along with a few lessons from my career. Another belief that’s guided me: Don’t spend all your time trying to fix your weaknesses. Instead, focus on the things you naturally do well and invest in them until they become true differentiators. Over time, those strengths can become your superpowers. And finally, one lesson that took me a while to fully appreciate: You don’t have to feel 100% ready to take the next step. Some of the biggest growth moments in my career came from stepping forward before I felt completely prepared - and from having people around me who pushed me out of my comfort zone and believed in me along the way. That’s something I try to pay forward now, especially as I spend more time working with founders and mentoring the next generation of leaders. I’m grateful to be part of CEW, both as a member and board member, and to be part of a community that continues to support and connect so many incredible women across the beauty and wellness industry. 📸 Photos below from CEW events over the years. I love being part of this wonderful group!

The final day of Women’s History Month is the perfect moment to reflect on our achievements. Iced Media is a women-owned, bootstrapped business. No outside investors. No institutional funding. No safety net. What we do have is a community of (mostly) women (alongside men and non-binary partners) who believe in our vision that with ambition, generosity, and a commitment to excellence anything is possible. We proved that last week. Not one, not two, but three standing-room-only events, with literally hundreds and hundreds of beauty, marketing, and retail leaders showing up to learn, share, and push the industry forward together. 1. Shoptalk's official Tactics for AEO + GEO featuring E.L.F. BEAUTY and COS 2. Shoptalk's 2nd Annual Beauty Meetup with TikTok for Business, NielsenIQ, Fospha and Statusphere featuring E.L.F. BEAUTY and Bask and Lather Co 3. The AI Shopping Playbook with Shopify and CEW Organization featuring Anastasia Beverly Hills, E.L.F. BEAUTY and Tower 28 Beauty, Inc. The ocean of gratitude I feel for Ashley Banks and my incredible team, and all of the partners, friends and clients supporting our journey is boundless. Thank you for believing in me and let's continue to make magic together.

here is nothing quite like the energy of a room where the best in beauty, tech, and creative strategy collide. A huge thank you to CEW, Shopify, and Iced Media for hosting such an impactful event. As we navigate the "Active Strategic Growth" required for brands today, seeing these three powerhouses come together to discuss the future of the beauty ecosystem was incredibly inspiring. From the evolution of the digital flagship to the high-level shifts in consumer discovery, the insights shared were a perfect reminder that the most successful brands are those that prioritize structural discipline and high-impact storytelling. It was wonderful to connect with so many visionaries and peers who are currently engineering the next generation of legacy brands.
