Meet our 2026 Billie Jean King Leadership Award honoree Clara Wu Tsai! We cannot wait to honor her at the Annual Salute to Women in Sports® Gala on Wednesday, October 21 at 6pm ET at Cipriani Wall Street, NYC. Businesswoman and philanthropist Clara Wu Tsai has had a transformative impact on the growth and future of women’s sports. As Governor and owner of the NY LIBERTY and Brooklyn Nets, and Vice Chair of Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment, she has helped set a new benchmark for investment and opportunity in women’s sports, leading the Liberty to its first WNBA championship in 2024. Through the Wu Tsai Human Performance Alliance, she has brought together scientists and clinicians across six universities to optimize wellness and human health and to address the dismal fact that only 6 percent of sports science studies focus exclusively on female athletes. • Proud to see LAURIE JACOBY, EVP & Chief Entertainment Officer, named Ad Age's Brand Marketer of the Month! 👏

Earlier this month, consumers looking skyward in Brooklyn might have spied a tow plane carrying an aerial banner reading “BKLYN ♥ ARI.” The activation, the brainchild of LAURIE JACOBY, executive VP and chief entertainment officer at Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment, was just one of several Brooklyn-centric marketing ploys celebrating Ariana Grande’s sold-out five-night concert run at the Barclays Center as part of her Eternal Sunshine Tour. “We’re welcoming you through the sky as well as on the ground and that set the tone that we’re looking to do something that is beyond the walls of the building,” said Jacoby. Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment owns the Barclays Center as well as the NBA and WNBA teams that call it home, the Brooklyn Nets and New York Liberty. Jacoby joined in early 2021 from Manhattan rival MSG Entertainment, where she was senior VP of concerts and entertainment. The plane banner is just one example of how she is tying the arena to Brooklyn culture, while giving fans an experience that justifies paying often hundreds of dollars for shows. The Grande promotion—which also included a Brooklyn-based set designer reimagining Ariana’s set for a fan photo—drew widespread attention in the New York metro area, making Jacoby Ad Age’s Brand Marketer of the Month. For this edition of our Brand Marketer of the Month series, Jacoby talks about promoting Grande’s tour, what Barclays did to tap into the Taylor Swift wedding moment, and how she’s staying ahead of the next big thing in entertainment. 💡 Read the full interview: https://lnkd.in/g_rSjNWj

  • 🏳️🌈 Throughout June, we celebrated Pride Month by honoring the LGBTQ+ community and championing the inclusive culture that makes Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment a place where everyone feels welcomed, supported, and empowered to be their authentic selves. Led by members of our Pride Employee Resource Group, employees came together throughout the month to learn, connect, and give back. For the second year in a row, Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment proudly sponsored a float in this year's Brooklyn Pride Twilight Parade, bringing together employees, friends, and family to march in celebration of Pride. Our employees also gathered for a Pride Happy Hour, cheered on the NY LIBERTY at the Pride Night game at Barclays Center, and volunteered in our community. 🎉 Thank you to everyone who helped make this a meaningful month of celebration, community, and connection. 🫶🏽 #TheBrooklynWay
