Following nearly two decades of leadership and significant growth for the bank, our CEO Don Coffin has announced he will retire on June 30. Don has led Bankers Trust through a period of remarkable growth in his tenure as CEO, with assets growing to $7.5 billion and net income increasing to $81.3 million, a record year, in 2025. In addition to serving as CEO and President since 2018, Coffin spent the 10 previous years as the bank’s Chief Lending Officer, where he helped grow the loan portfolio from $1.6 to $6.0 billion during that time. Samantha Mosser, who joined the bank in 2022, and was named President in July 2025, will succeed Coffin as CEO. “My 18 years with Bankers Trust have been the most rewarding of my career, proving you can build a successful bank by doing the right things in the right ways: earning a Reasonable Profit, Ethically Earned, and always doing right by our customers and employees,” Don says. “I have full confidence that Samantha’s industry insight, strategic vision, and care for the strong employee culture the bank has cultivated will guide Bankers Trust through its next chapter.”
