We’ve always been proud of being the first creative agency to become an officially registered B Corp company. Not just because we were the first creative agency to make the team (which was amazing) but because B Lab certification is a real achievement. You have to demonstrate how you combine purpose and profit, how you show up for your people and your community, and how your sustainable practices help protect the planet. Naturally, we keep our eyes on companies that walk the B Corp talk. To see how we’re keeping up, and how we can do better. As luck would have it, March is B Corp Month. To celebrate, we thought we’d shout out a few brands (and a couple of clients 🤝) that are doing incredible things and that we’re excited to see at next month’s B Corp Champions Retreat in Milwaukee. 🔸 Spending time with our friends at Radio Flyer is always a blast. Working together with RF has taught us that seeing eye to eye is great, but seeing heart to fun-filled heart feels like a launching pad 🚀 for greatness. PS. We love how Target shoppers are digging their new Pathfinder+ wagon! 🔸When it comes to being a B Corp company, Circ® is next level. Their pioneering technology returns polycotton waste to the like-new raw materials from which it was made. In the process, they’re not only protecting the planet, they’re saving it from the cost of clothing. 🔸We constant(ly) 😉 comment about the intentionality of Bigelow Tea – whether it’s their Zero-Waste-To-Landfill facilities, sustainable packaging, or community garden that provides fresh produce for local food pantries. Lemon Ginger is our collective fave at Baldwin&. 🍋 🔸It’s hard not to admire King Arthur Baking Company's commitment to regenerative agriculture and accessible food systems – but it’s impossible not to love their gluten-free fudge brownie mix say Jen Matthews and Ashley Yetman. 🔸 OLLY PBC has wellness down to a science. Something else they have down to a science in Olly-Land? Their Glowing Skin gummies. Just ask B&’s Katharine Belloir, she raves about them. 🔸We’re always amazed by Tillamook County Creamery Association and their active commitment to help farms (and cows!) thrive while keeping communities engaged. Plus, their Oregon Strawberry ice cream will change your life says Aly Moser. 🍓 It’s never easy being a B Corp company but it’s always worth it. Plus, you get to hang with the good eggs, the keep-your-word partners – you know, the cool kids. 🚨 Our co-CEO and Head of Strategy Ashley Yetman & Director of Biz Dev Katharine Belloir will be at the Champions Retreat to learn from brands who are redefining what responsible growth looks like. If you’re going, give them a shout! 🚨

Brand-first creative agency 🪩 Certified B Corp 🌍 Hell of a time 💃🏻
About us
Baldwin& is a big-brained, small-ego’d brand-first creative agency, based in Raleigh, NC. We’re bonafide experts of brand development, campaign and content creation, and creative media solutions, but more importantly, we’re certified in the science of BrandBehaviorism™. Basically, that’s a fancy way of saying: we help brands uncover who they really, truly are and then help them behave accordingly, so they can attract the people who really, truly love what they're doing. But let’s cut the corporate fluff. We’re also a hell of a time.

After McDonald's CEO's "lil bite" burger video sparked reactions across social, our very own co-CEO, Jerry Bodrie, shares what brands should really take away in QSR. Read his full POV here 👇 ba-da-ba-ba-ba
What should we takeaway from McDonald's recent CEO burger video that sparked a host of competitors to jump in? Jerry Bodrie weighs in with his thoughts. "Social media is all about being honest, so determine who you are, what your super-power is, and start living that exclusively in the places that make sense for your brand." Christmas Eve gratitude goes to a brand that knows seafood isn’t just food, it’s a celebration. We’re thankful for our long-term partnership with Long John Silver's, LLC, and for a brand that lets us have a *very good* time doing the work. A few things we appreciate: - They're down to turn vibes into strategy and let us get a little too excited about getting people in the seafood mood - They make the celebration that comes with seafood available every single day (not just on special occasions) - Fish, shrimp, fries, hushpuppies… and crumblies (IYKYK) - Wild-caught from Alaska and the North Pacific (did you even know that??) - Fish puns Feeling festive. Feeling grateful. Very much in the seafood mood. 🎄🎣

Circ® did a $h*t ton this year. Recycled. Raised. Runway’d. Scaled a circular model for fashion in a way few others can (and made it look damn good doing it ❤️🔥). We’re proud to partner with the team turning waste into want and quite literally changing what circularity looks like. Peep the story (and the design… compliments of yours truly 💋).

Today’s gratitude post goes to a client who represents a city with real soul: Travel Portland. Here’s why: - A destination rooted in nature, shaped by makers, and powered by a come-as-you-are spirit. Portland doesn’t try too hard...which is exactly why it’s unforgettable - Award-winning chefs, walkable neighborhoods, and local creatives shaped by the landscape around them (and endlessly fun to storytell) - A team who welcomed us in this year, from IMEX Vegas to their Open House - showing us what hospitality actually feels like. We loved gifting mittens to kids at their nonprofit Charter School, swapping stories, and capturing one almost-complete Baldwin& Portland team photo (the photobooth missed you, Lori Jones) A big thank-you to Travel Portland for letting us help share the stories that make your city what it is.

Some clients hire an agency to market a product. Pivotal hired us to help create a category. When we got the call 2.5 years ago from our friends at Sparrow about a not-yet-to-market eVTOL company looking for a creative partner, we were all in. Because how often do you get the chance to help create the market… not just market the product? Since winning a 48-hour competitive pitch, we’ve: - Built a brand from the ground up (name, identity, product naming, visual system, the whole thing) - Taken the aircraft to market and worked closely with early buyers to understand real use cases, mindsets, and decisions (not just hypotheticals) - Crafted (and re-crafted) the story across web, social, email, trade shows, and everything in between as the product, category, and audience evolved in real time None of it happens without trust. Huge thanks to Martha Danly and the Pivotal team — driven, thoughtful, and somehow always moving faster than the rest of us — for building this alongside us, truly together, and embracing the test-and-learn energy required to do something genuinely new. Proud of the work. Proud of the partnership. And still a little amazed we get to help bring aircraft like this into the world.

Today’s thank-you goes to our Northwest RiverPartners client — the team making clean, affordable hydropower a little more fun to talk about. We’re grateful for: - They champion clean, affordable energy through hydroelectricity in the Pacific Northwest, in partnership with other clean energy sources. - They’re committed to salmon restoration, from habitat restoration to fish passage upgrades and better hatchery practices. Big work with real impact. - They’re not afraid to have a little fun along the way. (Frankly, all hydropower content should feature a man in a bathing "suit" standing in a river.) Grateful for the partnership and for a team willing to tell an important story in a fresh way.

Continuing our holiday thank-you tour with a shoutout to the people who never skip the dairy aisle and to the client who makes that simple joy possible: Washington Dairy. What we’re grateful for: - A community that truly supports local farms, farmers, and their families - Teaming up with incredible Washington chefs who keep surprising us with new ways to use dairy (case in point: the pandan sundae in this video) - The dairy itself, OBVIOUSLY. Cheese, butter, ice cream, yogurt, cheese, cheese, cheese, cheese, cheese... Special thanks to the culinary partners like Noah Galuten, Renee Erickson, Ian Galbraith, Eric Banh, Elise Landry, Jason Wilson, Karin Paulson for bringing the creativity (and the cravings).
