#TeamAvantus closed a $300 million tax equity commitment with Truist to help bring Aratina 2 to the finish line! Tax equity marks the final piece of financing for the solar and storage project, adding to the more than $525 million in construction financing closed in July. We recently welcomed part of the Truist team to the Aratina site in Kern County, California, to see the project taking shape. This is Truist’s second tax equity investment with Avantus, and we’re grateful for their continued confidence in our IPP strategy and our track record across California and the Desert Southwest. Currently under construction and expected to be operational by the end of 2026, Aratina 2 will deliver 150 megawatts (MW) of solar generation and 452 megawatt-hours (MWh) of battery storage capacity to the California grid. https://lnkd.in/exagBX35

The expanded facility will advance Avantus’ independent power producer (IPP) strategy and accelerate the execution of its portfolio across core markets in California and the Desert Southwest. Aratina 1 is online! ⚡ Today, we're proud to announce that our Aratina 1 project in Kern County, California is now delivering 200 MW of solar and 500 MWh of energy storage to the California grid. This commercial operation milestone marks a significant step in Avantus' evolution as an independent power producer.
