Our trial team secured a $6.5 million verdict for electrician Mark Miller, who suffered serious head, neck, and back injuries while working at a Houston construction site. Miller was struck in the head by another worker, knocked unconscious, and fell down a dimly lit stairwell. The case focused on failures to properly supervise workers, respond to dangerous conduct, and maintain a safe construction site. Defendant CIVE, Inc., the general contractor for the project, was represented by a team of more than a dozen attorneys from Ahmad, Zavitsanos & Mensing (AZA). Attorneys Trent Shelton and Wes Hook took the case through years of litigation and trial, securing a verdict for Miller and holding those responsible accountable for the harm he suffered.
