At Gartner CIO Leadership Forum, one message came through clearly in our conversations with CIOs and data leaders: If AI is failing, it’s because organizations lack a trusted path to production. Below are takeaways pulled directly from real conversations with CIOs: 1️⃣ “We have to tell a better business story.” The conversation is moving beyond uptime, projects, and tools. Boards want to hear revenue impact, margin protection, speed, resilience, and business outcomes. 2️⃣ “We have AI pilots, but they don’t scale.” Experimentation is happening everywhere, but without governance and operational discipline, most initiatives stall before delivering real value. 3️⃣ “The bottleneck isn’t data, it’s business logic.” Even with modern data platforms, translating business rules into repeatable, scalable workflows remains a major challenge — and too often falls back to manual workarounds. 4️⃣ “We’re balancing speed vs. control.” Organizations want to empower the business to move faster, but not at the expense of security, compliance, and trust. 5️⃣ “We can’t explain or prove AI decisions.” Without traceability, auditability, and clear lineage, AI outcomes can’t be trusted or operationalized. 6️⃣ “Our workforce needs to come along on the journey.” AI adoption isn’t just a technology shift, it’s a skills and change management challenge across the enterprise. At Alteryx, this is exactly the problem area we’re solving. We believe the conversation needs to shift away from categories and toward workflows, because that’s where governance, trust, and business value come together. So we’re investing in 3 specific areas: ️➡️ A governed workflow platform Empowering business users to move at the speed of the business, while ensuring IT has full visibility, control, and auditability. ➡️ Seamless access to trusted data Connecting to modern data platforms so teams can work with the right data, in the right context, without introducing fragmentation. ➡️ Governed AI workflows Combining AI with deterministic business logic so outcomes are explainable, repeatable, and production-ready — not a black box. The takeaway we’re seeing across the market: AI reaches production when the business trusts the outcome, and IT trusts how it was built. Leading organizations aren’t conducting endless pilots; they’re operationalizing AI with: ✔️ Trusted, governed data ✔️ Transparent business logic ✔️ Audit-ready workflows ✔️ Measurable, defensible outcomes We’re excited by the conversations happening with CIOs who are leaning into this shift, and we’re committed to helping them turn AI from experimentation into real operating capability. #GartnerCIO #GartnerIT #CIO

We’re asking the wrong question about AI. It’s no longer: Can it generate answers? It’s: Can it take action—safely, reliably, at scale? That’s the shift defining the intelligent enterprise in 2026. And most companies aren’t ready. Because once AI moves from insight to action, everything changes: 1️⃣ Mistakes become outcomes → Governance isn’t a feature. It’s the foundation. 2️⃣ Delegation becomes a leadership decision → Not everything should be handed off 3️⃣ Interfaces matter less than trust → Voice, chat, UI…none of it works without control 4️⃣ The real constraint isn’t the model → It’s cost, risk, and accountability 5️⃣ The best AI disappears → No dashboards. No prompts. Just work getting done This isn’t an AI upgrade. It’s an operating model shift. The intelligent enterprise will be defined by how well it turns decisions into action, without adding friction. Read the Blog by Joshua Burkhow: https://ow.ly/EKFS50YBTBf #AlteryxPOV

As we celebrate Women’s History Month, we’re highlighting the importance of mentorship, confidence, and creating opportunities for the next generation. We asked Vianney Martinez Alcantara: What advice would you give to women earlier in their careers? “As we celebrate Women’s Month, I’d like to share two pieces of advice for women at the beginning of their careers: First, seek out a mentor early on. Learning from someone with more experience can broaden your perspective, accelerate your growth, and help you navigate challenges with greater confidence. Don’t hesitate to reach out — most people are willing to share their knowledge and support your journey. Second, don’t wait until you meet every single requirement before applying for a role that interests you. Too often, we hold ourselves back by striving for perfection. In reality, potential, curiosity, and a willingness to learn are just as valuable as experience. Be confident, take the step, and trust in your ability to grow into the role. Growth comes from taking initiative, embracing opportunities, and believing in your own potential.” We also asked: What legacy do you hope to leave through your work? “The legacy I hope to leave has been shaped by a powerful reminder from Kamala Harris, who in 2020 said: ‘While I may be the first woman in this office, I will not be the last.’ Those words represent more than a milestone — they are a call to action. For me, this means actively advocating for more women to pursue careers in STEM, encouraging others to step into bigger roles earlier in their journeys, and ensuring that I am not the only woman at the table. I hope that through my work, I can help build a more inclusive and equitable environment — one where opportunities are accessible, voices are heard, and future generations of women can thrive without barriers. This is the legacy I strive to leave behind.” #WomensHistoryMonth #PeopleOfAlteryx
