This week, our team had the opportunity to speak at Share Our Strength - No Kid Hungry’s Summer Nutrition Summit in Washington, DC.
Sharina Taveras Lopez joined the panel “Driving Awareness and Access: Summer EBT Champions Meeting Families Where They Are” highlighting our Summer EBT campaign with No Kid Hungry, which was the second highest driver to the Summer EBT website last year. The conversation reinforced what we see every day: real impact happens when we meet families where they are, with timely, accurate information delivered in Spanish and designed for the platforms they already use.
At Noticias Para Inmigrantes, our work is centered on reaching Spanish speaking communities with trusted resources that can directly impact their lives, from navigating benefits to accessing essential support for their families.
Over the last two days, we learned from and connected with:Share Our Strength staff, APHSA, American Public Human Services Association staff, State, territory, and Tribal agency staff, Local, state, and national partners, Summer meals sponsors, Parents with lived experience participating in summer nutrition programs, Industry partners, Corporate partners and donors and others who play a part in advancing access for families
We are grateful to be in community with so many leaders who understand and share No Kid Hungry’s mission to end childhood hunger.
Shout out to Sharina Taveras Lopez for speaking on the panel, Mariana Alvarez Joyal and Jennifer Ramirez for helping strengthen the partnerships that drive real access for our community.
