Final Fantasy 7 Revelation is bringing back Queen's Blood, though game director Naoki Hamaguchi has revealed that players will notice a big change once they delve into the story of the popular mini-game. Since its introduction in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, the return of Queen's Blood in Final Fantasy 7 Revelation was done with player feedback taken into consideration.
In short, Queen's Blood is a card game played on a grid with three lanes that have five spaces each. Players take turns filling out the grid with cards from their decks, with each card having specific requirements and positional effects. Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth has 145 Queen's Blood cards for players to collect, which can be obtained via vendors, by defeating NPC opponents, or by completing specific side missions. With Queen's Blood set for a comeback in Final Fantasy 7 Revelation, it remains to be seen how many new cards there will be for players to obtain.
Final Fantasy 7 Revelation is Making a Big Sephiroth Change
The upcoming Final Fantasy 7 Revelation is making a surprising change when it comes to main villain Sephiroth.
Final Fantasy 7 Revelation Will Have a New Queen's Blood Protagonist
Although Hamaguchi previously stated that Queen's Blood would be brought back in Final Fantasy 7 Revelation, the director has shed more light on some planned changes. In an interview with Game Informer, Hamaguchi said that Red XIII will be the main protagonist of Queen's Blood in Final Fantasy 7 Revelation. Red XIII will succeed Cloud in the role of Queen's Blood's lead character. The Final Fantasy 7 Revelation director said that the change was made based on a scene in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, during which Red XIII stood on two legs and danced while playing Queen's Blood in disguise. He added that there will be some balance changes to the rules of Queen's Blood, along with some additional difficulty settings that players can pick from. Hamaguchi said, "There are still going to be a lot of mini-games and side contents, but we also want to be more mindful of the players' accessibility, too."
Following the reveal of Final Fantasy 7 Revelation during Summer Game Fest, Hamaguchi said that the upcoming title would have just as many mini-games as Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, if not more. However, the director also expressed concern about the amount of side content in Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Rebirth, as he thought players would feel overwhelmed by the amount of things to do.
Hamaguchi said that they received plenty of feedback from Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth players, which will be implemented in Revelation. However, Queen's Blood is not the only mini-game confirmed for Final Fantasy 7 Revelation. Hamaguchi confirmed that the infamous slap fight between Tifa and Scarlet would be in Final Fantasy 7 Revelation as part of the main story.

It is unclear whether the fight between Tifa and Scarlet will be a quick-time event (QTE) like in the original Final Fantasy 7, or if it will be remade into a full, one-on-one battle. Between the return of Queen's Blood, and new features such as the Job-inspired FITS system, Final Fantasy 7 Revelation will have various pieces of new content for players to enjoy.
