I had not even have heard of this game until after the first beta. I played the Division 1 for years and then went to the Division 2, which I played regularly till Helldivers 2 came out. Put a thousand hours into that and then tried Arc Raiders on the Server Slam. I was apprehensive because I learned it was pvpve. I run solo and it blew my mind.

Jump to today and I am hooked. Awesome game, so much tension.

I put in 4 hours today and had 2 awesome moments. Both involved helping other solo Raiders who were pinned down by Arc at extraction.

I kid you not, those 2 moments were so intense that they were worth the 40 bucks alone.

I hate pvp games but this game is the exception.

I played the division and division 2 for over 3000 hours combined. I ran in the dark zone for a bit in the division 1 but never really enjoyed it. I stayed away from the dark zones and pvp all together in the division 2.

They generally are toxic.

That being said I have only put in 10 hours in Arc Raiders but after over 40 runs topside I have had only one encounter were I was gunned down by another Raider. 90 percent of the time when I encounter a fellow Raider they use the emoji wheel and say don't shoot. I reply with a don't shoot and we go on our separate ways or team up. It's a refreshing change to the pvp meta.

Bottom line is the game is super addictive.
