There are a lot of rare and powerful artifacts and weapons sprinkled all across Faerun in Baldur's Gate 3. Of course, the more powerful a weapon is, the more difficult it is to get, thus making weapons like Rhapsody a bit of a challenge to obtain.

The Gloves of Soul Catching are some of the most powerful gauntlets in Baldur's Gate 3. Here's how to get them.

Rhapsody is a special reward in Baldur's Gate 3 for those who follow a full questline and access the dark recesses of Baldur's Gate. Luckily, it is also a great weapon for anyone looking to create a powerful Rogue build.

Let's break down how you can get Rhapsody in Baldur's Gate 3 and get one of the most powerful daggers in the game.

What is Rhapsody in Baldur's Gate 3?

Baldur's Gate 3 Rhapsody In Player Inventory

Rhapsody is a very rare dagger in Baldur's Gate 3 that can be used as a main-hand or off-hand weapon. Thanks to its abilities, it is best used as a weapon for Rogues, Rangers, or Bards who are dual-wielding.

This dagger has the following abilities:

  • Scarlet Remittance: Applies a +1 bonus to attack rolls, damage, and spell save DC for every foe you slay, up to +3.
  • Sweet Bloodletting: Has the potential to inflict the bleeding status effect when you hit a creature with this weapon while hiding or invisible.

This weapon is good when paired with the Blade of the First Blood, which grants you the ability to retaliate against missed attacks and gain True Strike. Bloodthirst is another good weapon to pair with Rhapsody, as this weapon allows you to impose vulnerability to piercing damage on enemies when it is held in your main hand.

To obtain Rhapsody in Baldur's Gate 3, you will need to complete The Pale Elf questline. This is the questline that belongs to Astarion, which requires you to access Cazador's home in Baldur's Gate 3.

Mourning Frost is a great early-game staff in Baldur's Gate 3 for spellcasters who want to use frost magic.

Much of Astarion's questline requires you to talk to him throughout your journey, but there are some key points that you must hit during the campaign. These include:

  • Recruiting Astarion after the Nautiloid crash.
  • Fighting the monster hunter who is tracking Astarion.
  • Speaking to Raphael about the scars on Astarion's back.
  • Finding Raphael in the Shadow-Cursed Lands in Act II.
  • Killing the Orthon.
  • Learning about the Rite of Profane Ascension from Raphael.
  • Entering Cazador's Palace in Baldur's Gate.
  • Killing Cazador.

Cazador's Palace is located on top of the Lower Wall in Baldur's Gate, with the entrance to the wall being next to the Lower City Central Wall waypoint. From there, climb the stairs to reach the top of the wall and access the palace.

Once you reach Cazador's Palace, you will make your way through the building to the Dais location behind the large locked door. This will lead you deep into the dungeon, where you will find Cazador.

The fight against Cazador is very tough, but it can be made easier thanks to spells such as Daylight. I recommend bringing a Cleric as well, as this way you will have plenty of healing should things go south, which they probably will.

Once the fight is over, you will be able to loot Rhapsody from Cazador's corpse. It is possible to fight Cazador without Astarion in your party, but it is much better if you go through the process of completing his quest in the process and bring him into the fight.
