Baldur's Gate 3 is full of hidden weapons, armor, rings, and even amulets that you won't find unless you explore rather heavily. One such item hidden away from prying eyes is the Amulet of the Devout. What makes it so special, though?

Baldur's Gate 3: How To Get The Gloves of Soul Catching

The Gloves of Soul Catching are some of the most powerful gauntlets in Baldur's Gate 3. Here's how to get them.

This hidden amulet is perfect for those who want to play as a Cleric or have Shadowheart tag along in their party, as it will enhance your Channel Divinity ability. It is the perfect item to complete your build. Unfortunately, it isn't easily obtained.

Are you prepared to break the law to nab an amulet for that holy party member of yours? Here is where to find the Amulet of the Devout in Baldur's Gate 3.

Where to find the Amulet of the Devout in Baldur's Gate 3

Baldur's Gate 3 Amulet of the Devout Stormshore Tabernacle map

The Amulet of the Devout is located in the basement of the Stormshore Tabernacle in Baldur's Gate. This means that you will need to progress to Act 3 before you can get your hands on this amulet.

The Ring of Regeneration is one of the best rings to keep on your person in Baldur's Gate 3. Here is how to get your hands on it.

Once you reach Baldur's Gate, you will be near the Basilisk Gate. From here, head west, and you will quickly find a large store called the Stormfront Tabernacle. In the city, this building is located on the far eastern side of the lower city near the Elfsong Tavern and Baldur's Mouth.

Baldur's Gate 3 Amulet of the Devout Stormshore Tabernacle Basement Hatch

Once inside the Stormshore Tabernacle, look in the corner to the left of the door to find a hatch that leads to the basement. Unfortunately, you will get in trouble if you try to break in, so use one of the following methods to gain access:

  • Use the Invisibility spell, have a party member pick the lock, and sneak in.
  • Have a party member distract the shopkeeper while another party member sneaks in, picks the lock, and accesses the basement.
  • Kill the shopkeeper and take the key.
  • Have a party member distract the shopkeeper while another party member pickpockets the key and accesses the basement.

I recommend stealing the key or sneaking into the basement, as the shopkeeper has some good items that you do not want to miss out on. You can easily access the basement using a Scroll of Invisibility, if you have one.

If you decide to attack the shopkeeper and are discovered, you will become wanted for murder, and the guards will come after you. To avoid this, keep the doors closed or use a different method to obtain the key. Killing the shopkeeper will also break the Oath of the Crown Paladin's Oath, allowing them to become an Oathbreaker.

Baldur's Gate 3 Amulet of the Devout Stormshore Tabernacle Basement Offering Chest

Now that you have made it into the basement, have a dextrous character disarm the traps. If they are triggered, the gas vents will ignite the ground. Get to the back of the basement, and you will find an offering chest.

Baldur's Gate 3 Club of Hill Giant Strength
Baldur's Gate 3: How To Get The Club Of Hill Giant Strength

While it isn't the most powerful weapon in Baldur's Gate 3, the Club of Hill Giant Strength is fun to use near the beginning and should be obtained.

The Amulet of the Devout is in the offering chest, but be warned, stealing the item from the chest will cause the party member who interacts to receive the Castigated by Divinity effect.

This effect is a curse that will automatically kill the affected party member when they fall unconscious in battle. From their corpse will rise an envoy of the offended deity. To remove this effect, you will need to cast the Remove Curse spell on the affected party member, so be sure to have that spell prepared.

Amulet of the Devout Effects

The Amulet of the Devout is a great item to equip on the Cleric in your party. This is because it grants them an additional Channel Divinity Charge.

Channel Divinity is the Cleric's ability to use extra effects on their attacks. For instance, it allows the Tempest Cleric to maximize their damage when casting lightning or thunder spells.

The amulet also grants the wearer a +2 bonus to their spell save DC, meaning their spells will be more difficult to save against. While this is good for any spellcaster, it is wasted if it is not equipped on a Cleric.

There are many great weapons in Baldur's Gate 3, but the Staff of the Emperor is one of the best for magic-users.
