About Michael Manning

Michael Manning (He/Him) has been enamored with video games since he first played the Sonic Classic Collection as a child. With decades of experience in gaming and a full tour as a Gaming Journalist, Michael is ready to step up to the plate. From AAA to the smallest passion projects, his motto is that every piece of art has something worth celebrating. He's excited to bring this outlook to Dualshockers.

First Game Console and Preferred Platforms

Michael's first console was the original Xbox. As he grew he remained on Xbox long into the One's lifecycle before finally switching over to PC during college.

PC has remained as his primary platform since, supported by Steamdeck and Nintendo Switch.

Industry Focus

Michael has a focus on guides and reviews, helping to showcase new entries to the world of gaming and assisting others with seeing the most in the games they love.

Favorite Games and Genres

Michael's favorite game of 2024 was Metaphor: ReFantazio. His favorites of all time include Persona 4, Slay the Princess, and Undertale, while his top ten is filled with games that fuse their narrative with their mechanics.

His favorite genres include JRPGs, Character-Action games, and the wild world of Indie games.
