Akshit plays games, then writes about them—often at length and with no shortage of thoughts. He often finds himself drawn to the eerie and the obscure, forever chasing that one story unsettling enough to get his mind racing. 

When he’s not writing, he’s likely lost in an internet rabbit hole, unearthing forgotten pieces of gaming history—or, more predictably, replaying Silent Hill for the thousandth time.

He hoards more games than he’ll ever finish, but that never stops him from adding to the pile. His taste skews toward the unsettling—games, books, movies, anything that lingers in the back of your mind long after it’s over.

Favorite Games and Genres

Akshit's favorite games are NieR Replicant for its approach to storytelling, Silent Hill 1 for its near-therapeutic atmosphere, Boku no Natsuyasumi for its comforting nostalgia, and Link's Awakening for all the horrors it hides beneath its dreamlike charm. Naturally, then, horror is the genre that pulls him in the most—whether it's existential, psychological, or the lonelier kind.

Favorite Anime and Genres

Akshit’s favorite anime are Cowboy Bebop for its presentation and narrative, Neon Genesis Evangelion for its existential weight, Trigun for its blend of heart and chaos, and Serial Experiments Lain for its sheer eeriness. He usually prefers binging anime of the retro kind, either within the thriller or the sci-fi genre.

First Game Console and Preferred Platforms

Akshit’s platform of choice? PC, PC, and PC. Nothing beats the freedom to tweak your system and the ability to revisit classic video games on a whim.
