PlayStation's revamped PlayStation Plus service has been a huge success and continues to improve. The modern PlayStation Plus, which merged the original iteration with the streaming PlayStation Now service, is divided into three tiers: Essential, Extra and Premium. While all of PS Plus' tiers continue to provide players with online multiplayer access to games and monthly free titles, only the Extra and Premium tiers offer a catalog of games available to stream at no extra charge beyond the subscription price.
The cloud-streaming service's Extra and Premium tier offerings include a catalog of hundreds of PS4 and PS5 titles, including titles from the God of War, The Last of Us, and Final Fantasy franchises. It also includes games from older generations, including the PS2, PS3, PSP and original PlayStation. Sony has added a handful of recent first-party games to its library and several great third-party games that are absolute must-plays.
Updated on July 2, 2025, by Guillermo Kurten: The PS Plus Catalog continues to grow as summer 2025 marches on. PS4 and PS5 owners alike can enjoy a diverse collection of top-notch games, from visceral action RPGs like Diablo to indie platformers like Jusant. This list was updated with five more great PS4 and PS5 games worth checking out with a PS Plus subscription.

Diablo IV Lets Players Dungeon Crawl in an Open World
Diablo IV Main Story: 26 Hours
One of the pillars of the action RPG subgenre, Diablo IV is a high-profile addition to PS Plus. This sequel is set years after its predecessor's final expansion and revolves around the return of the demonic Lilith to the world of Sanctuary. Taking on the role of the protagonist known as the Wanderer, players must enter this punishing conflict with evil's encroaching influence.
Diablo IV takes the action RPG series' classic formula and expands upon it with an open-world setting. On top of a diverse set of classes to engage with the game's high-octane combat, players can grind through procedurally generated and replayable dungeons. Destiny 2 Players Get Plenty of Content in The Final Shape
Destiny 2: The Final Shape Main Story: 10.5 Hours
Bungie's Destiny 2 has become an incredibly enduring online shooter. Now, PS Plus subscribers can play through a slew of new content from last year's The Final Shape DLC expansion. The game acts as the grand conclusion to the Light and Darkness Saga, with the player's Guardian protagonist tracking down the villainous Witness before exacting his plan to eradicate life from the universe.
Destiny 2: The Final Shape has earned high praise for being a narratively satisfying and suitably epic conclusion to the long-running story, in addition to the new gameplay content that will keep players engaged for hours. The most significant mechanical addition to this Destiny 2 expansion is the Prismatic subclass to let players make use of certain Light and Darkness abilities together. However, there's a wealth of new content spanning PVP and PVE. These include a new raid, new locations, and PVP maps, and all the latest gear players would expect from this looter-shooter's major expansions.

The King of Fighters XV Offers Hours of High-Octane Combat
The King of Fighters XV Main Story: 1 Hour
Street Fighter, Tekken, and Mortal Kombat are titans in the fighting game space, but genre fans and PS Plus subscribers can enjoy a modern entry in another classic series, SNK's King of Fighters XV. The story follows the next King of Fighters tournament in the wake of Verse's defeat in XIV, with the antagonist's powers resurrecting past competitors.
The King of Fighters XV's story mode features fun enough (albeit very short) opponents and stages leading up to the final boss. However, the primary substance of the game lies in its roster, mechanical depth and its distinctive squad-based gameplay. The game's emphasis on three-person teams and a deep roster of characters lets players experiment with a diverse set of fighting styles, including their more accessible Climax moves. KoF XV's online functionality supports all these mechanics brilliantly, as hardened fighting game fans have plenty of game modes to choose from.

Bomb Rush Cyberfunk Is a Stylish Action-Platformer
Bomb Rush Cyberfunk Main Story: 10 Hours
Nostalgic fans of the Sega Dreamcast classic Jet Set Radio will appreciate Bomb Rush Cyberfunk's style. Players take on the role of a young member of the Bomb Rush Crew gang trying to take control of New Amsterdam's boroughs. The protagonist gangster will have to contend with rival gangs and the local authorities on their graffiti-filled, platforming exploits on their skates, boards, and bikes. Team Reptile's Bomb Rush Cyberfunk wears its Jet Set Radio influences on its sleeve.
Players who are comfortable with that unapologetic approach from the start will have plenty of fun with Bomb Rush Cyberfunk's stylized action-platforming mechanics and upbeat, cel-shaded art direction. The traversal mechanics and the series of tricks players can perform are the meat of Bomb Rush Cyberfunk's core loop. And as straightforward as they are, they strike the right balance between fun and simplicity, so players can enjoy grinding rails throughout the game's ~10-hour story without making the gameplay loop drag.

The Atmosphere of Battlefield 1 Makes for a Tense Shooter
Battlefield 1 Main Story: 6.5 Hours
While developer DICE's Battlefield series has seen better days in terms of popularity, the team's 2016 shooter is worth returning to on PlayStation Plus. Battlefield 1, the 10th entry in the first-person shooter series, switches gears by using World War I as its backdrop. The single-player story spotlights a series of soldiers in the heat of the conflict globally. The multiplayer front lets players take part in grand team battles and aerial dogfights.
Battlefield 1 earns its marks for the franchise's trademark brand of presentation and intense first-person gameplay. The mix of air- and land-based fights offers plenty of variety and replayability for multiplayer. This complements the online gameplay loop's focus on team-based coordination and epic sense of scale, but the story mode's alternating perspectives certainly bring a similar sense of tension, too.

Revisit the Classic Sci-Fi World of RoboCop in Rogue City
RoboCop: Rogue City Main Story: 11.5 Hours
Movie tie-in games certainly didn't have a great reputation for quite some time. While they're not as common as decades past, some surprisingly fun titles like RoboCop: Rogue City still come through today. The game is set after the events of Irvin Kershner's RoboCop 2 film and even features Peter Weller reprising his role as the protagonist. Players take control of the titular character as they venture through Old Detroit to root out criminals and perform investigations.
RoboCop: Rogue City certainly doesn't reinvent the wheel when it comes to the first-person shooter genre. Regardless, the game's solid gunplay and a faithful take on the film series' world are more than enough to justify its positive reception. Entertaining shooting mechanics that don't overstay their welcome make Rogue City feel like a polished version of PS3-era FPS games.

Experience a Parallel Journey in Lost Records: Bloom & Rage
Lost Records: Bloom & Rage Main Story: 10.5 Hours
Fans of graphic adventure games should check out Don't Nod's new title, Lost Records: Bloom & Rage. The Life is Strange and Life is Strange 2 studio crafts a new IP revolving around four teenage girls in the summer of 1995 who grow close together but experience an event that would forever alter the trajectory of their lives. Meanwhile, the women are reunited in 2022 and compelled to face the secret they hoped would remain in the past.
Don't Nod's new narrative adventure is off to a promising start with Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, thanks to the interesting cast and story structure. With both "Tapes" out to complete the tale, one of the game's strongest appeals has been how, as protagonist Swann, players can play through the 1995 and 2022 timelines in tandem. The player can make crucial decisions in both eras to shape the outcome of the story.
