About Scoot Allan

Scoot Allan is an Editor at CBR. He has worked in the industry for over a decade and has written for print and online media sources like ScreenRant, The Gamer, GameRant, Movieweb, EGM's Geek Magazine/GeekExchange, GrizzlyBomb (where he penned The Slushoverse Theory), WhatCulture, RoguePlanet.tv and the Urban 30 before joining CBR.

Industry Focus

Scoot Allan is an entertainment editor, reporter, writer, amateur comic historian, and all-around geek who currently resides in Alberta, Canada. He enjoys salad but prefers French fries, and plans to one day finish that collection of short stories he started that one time.

Favorite Media

Scoot developed an ongoing love for comics at an early age, which is his greatest passion. Characters like Spider-Man, the X-Men, the Bat-Family, Green Lantern, Invincible, Spawn, and so many more have left a lasting impact on him. However, his love for movies, TV, and video games has grown to rival comics over the years as well. He loves horror and sci-fi, enjoys laughing at comedies, and almost never falls asleep in long-winded dramas. Some of his favorite films like Star Wars, The Big Lebowski, Mallrats, The Usual Suspects, Friday, The Evil Dead, Home Alone, The Departed, Groundhog Day, and every single Friday the 13th movie all range across genres but left an equal impression on Scoot Allan nonetheless.
