Halloween Ends opened below expectations and below its predecessors in the new trilogy, but its $41.3 million debut is still strong. Proving that the marketplace has room for two horror films to succeed at once, Smile continued with its great holds as it brought in $12.4 million in its third weekend for a cume to $71.2 million.
