Lin-Manuel Miranda: Shakespeare theater fire ‘heartbreaking’
STRATFORD, Conn. (AP) — Investigators sought the cause Monday of a fire that destroyed the historic American Shakespeare Theatre, whose stage has been graced by the likes of Katharine Hepburn, Christopher Plummer and James Earl Jones.
Lin-Manuel Miranda, creator of the hit Broadway musical "Hamilton," tweeted Sunday that the loss of the theater was "heartbreaking."

The Walt Disney Studios revealed the main cast for its upcoming live-action and CG adaptation of its 1994 animated classic Wednesday and confirmed the months old rumor that the pop superstar would be lending her voice to the project.
Morgan Freeman to receive SAG Life Achievement Award in 2018
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Morgan Freeman will receive the SAG Life Achievement Award at next year's Screen Actors Guild Awards ceremony.

Meridian arts museum names 18 members to hall of fame
JACKSON, Miss. (AP) — Elvis Presley, William Faulkner and B.B. King are among the first 18 members of a hall of fame at a Meridian museum that will honor the arts and entertainment in Mississippi.
The $50 million Mississippi Arts and Entertainment Experience, projected to open early next year, will include exhibits, performance spaces and a recording studio. Leaders hope the museum will attract 150,000 visitors a year.
Rihanna is named Harvard University Humanitarian of the Year
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (AP) — Rihanna has been named the 2017 Harvard University Humanitarian of the Year.
The Grammy Award-winning singer will receive the Harvard Foundation's Peter J. Gomes Humanitarian Award at a ceremony scheduled for Feb. 28.
James Earl Jones, Donald Glover cast in ‘Lion King’ remake
NEW YORK (AP) — James Earl Jones and Donald Glover are lending their voices to Disney's upcoming remake of "The Lion King."
Director Jon Favreau announced the casting of the two men as voice actors. Glover, star and creator of television's "Atlanta," will portray the adult Simba. Jones reprises the role of Simba's father, Mufasa, which he voiced in the 1994 animated film.
Studio 48 expected to attract film projects into Arizona
PHOENIX (AP) — The new Arizona Office of Film and Media is expected to help promote and attract film and media industry projects into the state.
The City of Phoenix Film Office says Studio 48 will be under the direction of Matthew Earl Jones.
He's the half-brother of famed actor James Earl Jones.
Studio 48's name refers to Arizona's entry into the union as the 48th state.
Novelist W.P. Kinsella, author of ‘Shoeless Joe,’ dies at 81
VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) — Canadian novelist W.P. Kinsella, who blended magical realism and baseball in the book that became the smash hit film "Field of Dreams," has died. He was 81.
His literary agent Carolyn Swayze said in a statement that Kinsella's death on Friday in Hope, British Columbia was doctor-assisted. Details about his health were not disclosed. Assisted deaths became legal in Canada in June.
