Launched only two years ago, 5-Minute Crafts has surpassed some of the most popular YouTube channels, like whinderssonnunes and elrubiusOMG. The simple how-to channel has 35.9 million subscribers. With videos like “20 bathroom hacks to make life easier” and “35 unbelievable cooking hacks,” there is something for everyone.

5-Minute Crafts has 2,185 videos that have been viewed over 9 million times. With nearly 3 million new subscribers every month there is a chance it could eventually be number one, but for now it will stay at number five.

4. Canal KondZilla (40.7 million subscribers)

Konrad Cunha Dantas, otherwise known as KondZilla, is a Brazilian music video producer, director, and writer who has directed over 700 music videos. According to his YouTube channel, he is the largest producer of electronic music in Brazil. His YouTube channel, which Dantas started in 2012, has over 40.7 million subscribers and over 19 billion views.

Dantas has worked with artists such as MC Guime, Preta Gil, Koral Conká, DJ Marlboro, and more. His work on the music video “Tombei,” by Koral Conká, was nominated for Best Music Video at the 2015 Multishow Awards. The video has been viewed over 24 million times. His is the fourth most-subscribed channel on YouTube.

3. Justin Bieber (41.2 million subscribers)

Justin Bieber has the third most-subscribed channel on YouTube. His channel compiles official music videos, live performances, interviews, and more for his 41.1 million subscribers to enjoy. Bieber, who began singing in 2007 at the age of 12, has four videos that have been viewed over a billion times each.

Although never posted on his official YouTube channel, Bieber also contributed to a remixed version of the hit 2017 song, “Despacito,” which has garnered 633 million views since its release last year, making Bieber one of the most watched artists on the video-sharing site. The original track is the most watched video in the history of YouTube, receiving over 5 billion views.

2. T-Series (64.2 million subscribers)

Close behind PewDiePie is T-series, a popular Indian music company with 64.2 million subscribers and 2.6 billion monthly views, making it the second most-subscribed and the most-viewed YouTube channel in the world.  It is also the most subscribed Hindi-language and Indian YouTube channel. The T-series channel is best known for its Bollywood music soundtracks.

While the T-series channel has been around since 2006 (YouTube started in 2005), the T-series company, which runs the channel, has been around since the 1980s. The company’s breakthrough came in 1990, with the film soundtrack album, “Aashiqui.” The soundtrack sold over 20 million units in India, making it the best-selling Bollywood album of all time.

1. PewDiePie (66.6 million subscribers)

PewDiePie is the most subscribed YouTube channel, with over 66 million subscribers. Created in 2010 by Swedish comedian Felix Arvid Ulf Kjellberg, the PewDiePie YouTube channel is best known for its “Let’s Play” videos and blogs, as well as Kjellberg’s following. His content has been described as goofy, obnoxious, and filled with profanity, and he is also a very controversial figure.

After dropping out of college to focus on creating content, PewDiePie surpassed one million subscribers just two years after its creation. Kjellberg’s influence on the social network has also had a positive effect on the sales of indie video games, particularly Goat Simulator and McPixel.
