Re-production of Content on Other Websites

Any Medical News Today Content placed on your website (Site) must be accredited to Medical News Today, with links placed to the original article on Medical News Today. You are permitted to display the following on your Site, provided you do so in a way that is fair and legal and does not damage our reputation or take advantage of it:

• The headline of the article (but not in the title of the page).
• An active link to the full article on Medical News Today (necessary if you place any part of the article, description or headline online).
• The brief description of the article provided in our Newsfeeds.
• The first two paragraphs or the first half of the article if there are less than four paragraphs in total.
• An active link to any Medical News Today Page.
• Our Newsfeeds.

However:

• Do not display any material which is in breach of any third party intellectual property rights.

If you use a script to gather the information from our RSS feeds, you must use a server-side scripting language such as PHP or ASP, not JavaScript. You must gather the data from the feeds at regular intervals of an hour or more and use a database to store it. Using a script that gathers data from our site with every page load is not permitted.

Medical News Today provides the news Feeds and Content at no charge and you may not charge users specifically for accessing Medical News Today Content, nor attempt to sell our Content in any way.

Medical News Today reserves the right to restrict, suspend or terminate the News Feed, your access to the Feed, the availability of Articles or this Agreement at any time, without liability. You agree to remove all of the Medical News Today Content (including the Feed) from your Site upon receiving notice of termination from Medical News Today. You may terminate this Agreement at any time by removing all Medical News Today Content from your Site and destroying all copies of our content in your possession.

Any person(s) depicted in the images used by Medical News Today (MediLexicon International Ltd) do not have the medical condition they are used to depict, they are used purely for illustrative purposes. Images are the copyright property of MediLexicon International Ltd or respective third party company. Further details regarding the Opinions Service and your obligations when using it:

• The information provided by the Opinions Service is designed to complement, not replace, the relationship between a patient and his/her own physician.
• Readers should be aware that content posted on the Opinions Service should not be regarded as advice given by medical practitioners, or professionals.
• We request that when you use the Opinions Service to post medical information, you provide source information for the health/medical information when it is not personal experience, or general knowledge. Personal experience is defined as any symptom, test, treatment etc., that you or a close family member has undergone himself/herself. All statements about statistics, data, studies and new advancements in medicine should have trustworthy sources provided.
• We also request that you only post information that is true and correct to the best of your knowledge.
• All readers of MNT are able to create new opinion threads, or reply to existing opinion threads with or without out pre-registering an MNT account. Comments posted on the Opinions Service by all readers are held in a moderation queue for manual vetting by MNT staff before being made public.

In this agreement 'our' refers to Medical News Today, which is owned by MediLexicon International Limited and 'you/your' refers to any subscriber or person viewing or interacting with Medical News Today or the owner of the site displaying our Feed/Content. Users of the Medical News Today Content displayed on your site are also bound by these terms of use.

All of the terms of use form the Agreement and each clause operates separately in itself and survives independently of the others.

This Agreement shall be governed by, construed and take effect in accordance with English law. English courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any claim or dispute which may arise out of, or in connection with, this Agreement.
