During the first few decades of the 20th century, Delaunay designed for the "New Woman" – women who rejected restrictive garments in favor of clothing that enabled movement and freedom of expression.

Squanto played an integral role in the survival of early Pilgrim settlers, but he rarely receives the credit he deserves. There are numerous memorials and statues of Pilgrims in the Massachusetts area—and yet there is not one major monument to Squanto.
