Game 5's don't have the win-or-go-home luster of a Game 7, but make no mistake about it, they're nearly just as important.
Winning a Game 5 gives a team complete control as well as two opportunities to clinch the given series. The Celtics found that out more than anyone last season, having won three of their four Game 5's (all at home) during their championship run.
When the ball goes up at 7 p.m. tonight in the TD Banknorth Garden, Celtics fans will be hoping that trend carries over to this season's playoff run and helps Boston grab a 3-2 series lead.
