Bringing together industry stakeholders from the sell side and buy side, we shared the latest thinking and best practices to fuel growth in 2024. The morning commenced with an insightful Q&A session with Roisin Donnelly and Emma Newman. They discussed the multifaceted nature of the advertising landscape from an advertiser perspective, considering geopolitics, economics marketing, and audience dynamics to effectively engage their target audience. We then had the pleasure of Andrew Spurrier-Dawes, who sat down with Lisa Kalyuzhny to discuss the role of Resolve, growing privacy concerns, and reinforcing the importance of using first-party data as a powerful strategy to allow advertisers to maintain user trust while efficiently targeting desired audience segments. A panel session featuring Mark Hurst of Circana, Selen Ozkan of Uber, Debbie Oates of Experian, Ieva Butenaite of TRANSACT Omnicom Media Group, and expertly moderated by Babs Kehinde, covered the growing commerce media sector and how to leverage data as an innovation catalyst for success in this evolving domain. The event concluded with a lively session with Paul Gubbins of Publica by IAS, Alex Wright of Channel 4, Daniel Glynn of The HEINEKEN Company, led by Tim Willcox, who led the discussion on navigating the expanding video space and the key considerations to embrace a Total Video approach. Ja mam tak teraz. Chodzi o Agatkę, której wszyscy pomogliście jakiś czas temu. To córka programisty z CodeTwo - Marcina Panasiuka - mojego dobrego kolegi, super kompana, z którym pracuję aktywnie na co dzień. Ponad rok temu (gdy Agatka miała zaledwie 2 lata) wykryto u niej złośliwy nowotwór - neuroblastomę. Dziecko leczone było w PL aż 6 seriami chemii (ale nieskutecznie). Zebraliśmy zatem wspólnie z Wami ogromną sumę na operację i kosztowne leczenie w Barcelonie. Udało się usunąć guz i pierwsze wyniki były bardzo dobre. Dziecko odżyło, było szczęśliwe, rodzice też. Ja też. Nie dzieliłem się z Wami, tym co działo się potem, ale niestety historia była burzliwa. Guz powracał. Agata przechodziła w Barcelonie kolejne operacje - wszystkie bardzo trudne, ryzykowne i bolesne. W sumie miała tych operacji aż 4! To był istny rollecoaster skrajnych emocji, które przeżywaliśmy w małym gronie. Po ostatniej operacji przyszły dobre wieści - wszystko wskazywało na to, że udało się tego gnoja pokonać. Agata została w Barcelonie na kolejnych kilka miesięcy, by odbywać regularne kontrole. I co? Na ostatniej kontroli (OSTATNIEJ) przed powrotem do kraju, wykryto przerzuty w całym ciele (w kościach czaszki, kręgosłupa oraz nóg). Kiedy Marcin mi przekazał tę wiadomość, to nie wiedziałem, co mu odpowiedzieć. Złapałem za klawiaturę, którą miałem pod ręką, i rozwaliłem ją o biurko. Ja nie potrafię nawet sobie wyobrazić, jak czuje się sam Marcin, jego żona i sama Agata. Słuchacie, ale jest nadzieja! I to duża. Jest dostępna nowoczesna immunoterapia bazująca na leku, który jest skuteczny w leczeniu takich przerzutów. I w dodatku mogą podawać ten lek Agacie w Barcelonie, gdzie obecnie przebywa. Musimy jednak zebrać prawie 3 MLN. Zrobię (my wszyscy w CodeTwo i HRejterzy zrobimy) wszystko, co w naszej mocy, by udało się zebrać potrzebne środki. Bardzo Was proszę o przekazanie kasy (lub chociaż przekazanie dalej tego posta), bo pomóc Agacie. Rozwalmy tego złośliwego gnoja teraz skutecznie. Pomożecie? Jak wiecie, moje materiały i kanał HRejterzy zawsze były za darmo. Nie spamowaliśmy Was też reklamami. W ramach podziękowań za pomoc, będziemy starać się produkować jak najwiecej materiałów pomagających Wam w pracy i życiu (czy poważnych, czy humorystycznych). Z góry wszystkim dziękuję. Anna S. liked thisAnna S. liked thisTopic of the month: Resilience 🩷 Last week, I had the privilege of taking part in my first ERG meeting at PubMatic, where we explored the theme of resilience. It’s a word we hear often, but for me, it’s something I’ve had to live, learn, and continue to navigate every single day. I shared a part of my journey with breast cancer. I’m now two years clear, and while that milestone means so much, the reality is that resilience doesn’t end when treatment does. I’m still undergoing hormonal treatment to switch off my estrogen, so in many ways, this is an ongoing chapter, not a closed one. What I’ve learned is this: resilience isn’t a moment. It’s a journey 🛣️ Before treatment, it was about managing anxiety.During treatment, it became about getting through each day .After treatment, it’s been about adjusting to a “new normal”, one shaped by menopause, trauma and a body and mind that don’t quite work the same as before. And through that journey, a few things have stayed with me: ✨ Protect your peace. Energy is precious. I’ve learned to think in “spoons” being intentional about where I spend mine. Finding joy in the small things, like a quiet coffee. Reaching out to the people who matter. And most importantly, learning to say no without guilt. ✨ You don’t have to do it alone. One of the most unexpected gifts in my journey has been the strength of my support network. At a time when I couldn’t rely solely on myself, I learned how powerful it is to lean on others. That lesson doesn’t just apply to illness, it applies to life. ✨ It looks different for everyone. There is no single version of resilience. No two journeys are the same. My experience with menopause, my body, and even my future path may look different from others my age and that’s okay. This isn’t about comparison; it’s about connection, understanding, and shared humanity. If there’s one thing I hope people take away, it’s this: be kind to yourself.A flower doesn’t blossom all year round and it’s not meant to 🌷 Thank you to the incredible people at PubMatic for creating a space where we can show up as our full selves, share our stories, and support one another.

Brands and media buyers need to prepare for a new phase in ad platform performance. Clarity have been consistently keeping tabs on Meta’s direction for a long time, and the UK rollout of its ad-free subscription marks a meaningful shift. The impact will feel similar to the 2020 iOS tracking changes. With people opting out of ads you could start to see smaller tracked audiences, higher CPMs in some areas, and potentially less precise targeting. Here is what you should focus on: 👉Strengthen tracking. Check your Meta Pixel and Conversions API for accuracy. And build your own data: Grow email and CRM lists with clear consent. 👉Expect smaller audiences. Monitor reach, CPM, conversion rate, and cost per lead in the UK and EU. 👉Keep budgets flexible. Adjust UK and EU spend without disrupting global activity. With this, increase creative testing. Use short mobile videos, clear benefits, and strong visual hooks. 👉 Start broad with targeting. Add light filters only where data shows gains. And use simple lift tests. Validate impact through country or time splits. Remember to keep a balanced channel mix across search, social, and programmatic. This platform shift gives users more choice and gives advertisers less data. And so strong tracking, disciplined testing, and frequent creative updates will protect performance.
