We're proud to work with the University of Cambridge to deliver the Universal bus route - a key link across Cambridge, used by students, staff, residents and visitors. Each year, a customer satisfaction survey is carried out - with nearly 700 passengers asked for their views. This year, we've seen: 😃 Overall passenger satisfaction increased for the third year running 🙌 Great feedback about our driving team 🕑 Improved reliability scores 💙 Excellent scores in new questions about perception of personal safety while traveling on the bus We're really proud of our team of drivers, engineers, cleaners and supervisors who work around the clock to deliver the very best service!

We had a great time at the University of Cambridge Freshers Fair this year - enjoying the buzz of meeting new students (and lots of returning students) to welcome them to our beautiful city. There was lots of good feedback about our smart Universal buses - and plenty of enthusiasm for our goodies available on Spin The Wheel! The Universal route connects much of the city, from the sustainable development at Eddington - North West Cambridge Development to West Cambridge, the city centre, rail station and the Biomedical Campus - all on our zero-emission Wisdom Motor electric buses.

We were delighted to welcome DVSA and partners in the Cambridge #Connector project to Cambridge, as we continue to develop and explore the opportunities and wider applications for autonomous services in the future.
The #Connector team were pleased to welcome colleagues from the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) to Cambridge on Wednesday 20 August, riding the autonomous bus at Cambridge West Hub, completing a tour of the Whippet depot and discussing the upcoming legislation and regulatory changes needed to support the roll-out of autonomous services. With the government aiming to have parts of this legislation in place in early 2026, projects like Connector present an opportunity for us to help shape how these future policies can support new ways of travelling and reducing traffic congestion. Today we reached an important milestone on the Connector project - an innovative self-driving vehicle trial we're working alongside Greater Cambridge Partnership to deliver this year. Led by Jim Hutchinson and the expert team at Fusion Processing, the first of our team began specialist safety driver training - understanding how the systems work, and the driver's role in ensuring the safe operation of the buses. We're excited about both playing a part in the development of the technology and understanding how passengers and the local community use and interact with it.
