Gui gave a very practical overview of the current fundraising landscape and highlighted something many founders need to hear: The issue isn’t always that capital has disappeared but that capital is being deployed more selectively. Some of the biggest takeaways from the session: 💎 Founders should stop pitching just the product and start pitching the investor proposition 💎 Right now, angel investors may be more accessible than VCs for many founders 💎 A lot of capital is still in the market, but it is being concentrated into fewer and less risky deals 💎 AI, biotech / healthtech and data centres are currently attracting disproportionate investor attention 💎 Warm intros still matter especially using your existing network and second-degree connections 💎 Cold outreach still works, but only if it is either very direct or genuinely personalised Remember when speaking to investors, explain why this round is a good deal for them not just what your product does.
